"I had previously stayed at The Groom's Cottage (next door) inJanuary 2025, which was excellent."
Winnie's Cottage was equally as good, if not better. Comfortable, warm and quiet, an ideal base for walking the 60 mile long distance footpath, The Wilberforce Way from The Deep, Hull to York Minster. Huge thanks to host, Jo for lifts to Pocklington and from Sutton-upon-Derwent on the Sunday when no buses ran. One slight irritation, the lack of internet for long periods of my stay. Pretty annoying, I do hope it gets sorted soon!

"As other visitors have stated, immaculately clean and beautifully presented."
Ideal location for exploring the area, far away to enjoy the quiet of the countryside but close enough to the busy towns and City of Hull if that is your thing. We filled our week with walking, cycling, museums, wildlife spotting and just chilling out. Hope to visit again soon. Keep up the good work Joanna !

"This converted stable is beautiful in every way."
It is spotlessly clean, comfortable, cosy and yet very spacious so it’s no surprise there are many repeat visitors. We had snow, sleet, rain and wind as well as sunshine but found loads to explore without driving miles. Its quiet and peaceful location (and the jacuzzi!) makes for a very relaxing day spent in this property in the countryside where you can see for miles, and yet the pub and town are only a 5 minute drive away with plenty of wildlife to see en route. Perfect!

"It’s always a delight to stay at Winnie’s and our New Year visit was particularly lovely."
As we approach the cottage the external Christmas lights looked so festive and welcoming, inside was a twinkling Christmas tree and a bottle of Prosecco! We had a perfect few days and look forward to our next visit.
-
"Winnie’s Stable is outstanding and exceeded all expectations."
It was finished to an extremely high standard, it has all the amenities needed and it was impeccably clean. It’s in a beautiful location. The owner is incredibly helpful and very responsive. If I could give 6 stars, I would!
-
"Had a lovely relaxing weekend at this cottage."
It was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and was cosy and warm. It is in a nice quiet location but an easy drive to Market Weighton with a supermarket. We also visited Beverley which is just 20 mins away with plenty of shops, cafes and restaurants.

"A lovely, quiet setting"
-
"This was our 7th or 8th time at the property and as usual it was lovely to go back."
It has everything you need to get out of the rat race. So peaceful and quiet with nothing around but fields. Me and my wife always love going back

"Beautiful place to stay."
My husband's new job started before our new house was ready, so we were at Winnies stables for 17 nights. Access to numerous beautiful walks and amazing views, very relaxing and we would definitely refer friends and family. One small issue, and only because my husband works shifts. RAF flying over regularly through the day , great to watch, not so cool when trying to sleep before a night shift. Thank you so much for allowing us to share your home. A quick mention to the lovely welcome box that was left for us, much appreciated.

"A very well appointed cottage nestled in between easily accessible villages, towns and other facilities."
It is furnished with quality furniture and fixtures instead of odd bits of furniture that other cottages sometimes have. Even the internal door furniture was quality. It’s those little touches that make cottages stand out. The parking was right outside the front door, so easy to unload your bags. Fresh milk in the fridge and a nice little welcome pack in the kitchen, which is where you’ll find the WiFi codes. Spent 4 days here due to a work commitment in Pocklington - would definitely stay here again.
-
"We have spent some lovely weeks in both Winnie’s and Groom’s cottages."
Love the location and the level of comfort. These are really top class places to stay with a lovely host.
-
"Our third stay in this lovely property and we have just booked a fourth visit, so I think that says it all."
Winnie’s Stable is immaculately clean and well equipped and in peaceful, countryside surroundings. Close to Market Weighton and in easy reach of many tourist attractions and nature reserves.
-
"Our 7th time here over the past couple of years and we absolutely love it."
Gets you away from the hustle of life. Joanna is a very lovely person and always has time for us. You can just get totally lost in the silence that the area brings. As I’m from Leeds I only have to travel an hour or so, so it’s great for us

"We've stayed in quite a few cottages over the years, and can say without doubt that Winnie's stable is the best."
The cottage has an interesting history and much time and effort has been spent by the owners making it into a lovely place to take a relaxing break. It features every modern convenience and the owners could not be more helpful or welcoming. Our thanks to them for a wonderful time.

"A lovely cottage in a peaceful location."
Immaculately clean and beautifully presented. Jo, the owner, was very nice. We enjoy seeing wildlife and we were delighted to see a Brown Hare sat outside the cottage window! A drive along the local roads produced sightings of Red Kite, Buzzards and Kestrel. Also in easy drive of several nature reserves. We enjoyed it so much we have booked to come back later in the year.

"WONDERFUL ACCOMMODATION IN A FANTASTIC LOCATION."
Our recent extended stay was perfect, from the excellent communication with Jo, the quality amenities , the cleanliness of the cottage, and the delightfully peaceful setting. Everything you could need is there, and the spa bath was a real treat after a long bike ride. The Goodmanham Arms just down the road is fab too.

"What a Gem."
This Cottage was without doubt the best we have stayed at. Spotlessly clean and, when we arrived, a lovely little Xmas tree , which was a very nice touch in addition to the "cookies"!!. The property enjoys a most quiet of locations, high on the Wolds, perfect for a getaway yet easy enough to get down to Market Weighton. Just wished we could have stayed longer and enjoyed this cosy(extremely warm due to the under floor heating) beautiful home.
