  • "There was good information regarding adjusting the central heating to your personal requirements."

This was welcome as we arrived during a cold spell. More details would be helpful for sorting the recycling of waste. Excellent parking and the new gates were appreciated and used! The property was very clean and all the facilities provided were excellent for self catering.

  • "We booked Red Tree Cottage over Christmas."

It was a slightly last-minute decision, but it turned out to be a good one. The cottage was well-equipped, spotlessly clean and the hosts really had gone the extra mile. they provided us with an extra fridge for our Christmas food, decorated and even left us a lovely gift-wrapped Christmas present, which was lovely and thoughtful. I would highly recommend this cottage as it is well situated in a quiet residential street and offers easy access to the City and beyond.

Great news to hear! So happy Red Tree Cottage added to your Christmas adventure. Thank you for looking after the place during your visit. Property Owner

  • "Very clean, comfortable and well equipped."

The bungalow and gardens are spacious with plenty of parking. We loved the quirky kettle!. Our only suggestion would be to upgrade the TV to one with built-in in DVD player facility as we struggled with the current set up.

You can`t beat a good strong cup of tea out of a Quirky kettle, makes all the difference ! Good news you liked Red Tree, thank you for your brilliant feed back. Its a good to know when your Guests have enjoyed their "Getaway time". Thank for looking after and leaving Red Tree as you found it. Property Owner

  • "Very well equipped property."

Only fault was no mirrors in the bedrooms. Clean and tidy though out. Very quiet area as not a lot of traffic. Close to park and ride and main roads. We would certainly use this again.ù

Good news that the property was to your satisfaction, and thank you for looking after Red Tree. You are right about the mirrors, apologies. We will sort that out in the coming weeks. Property Owner

  • "As a new holiday property it was very well presented & clean."

The owner left lovely provisions to start our start. Location was excellent close to major roads (too far for traffic sounds) & near a park & ride for York. We found the residential area very quiet. Beds, shower & kitchen facilites all good.

Thank you for your thoughtful kind words. Thank you for looking after Red Tree. Both your messages you sent, make it worth it. Property Owner

  • "A very nice property everything that you might need is there."

The dinning chairs were comfortable but the main chairs (sofa and other chair was not so comfortable but okay. As we are getting older things seem harder to do like getting out of the shower over bath maybe a hand rail would give us a hand?. But other wise we will want to stay again many thanks to the owner.

We are glad you enjoyed your stay. That's what we are aiming for. We are listening to your constructive points made and will be working on them over time. Thank you for looking after the place and leaving it very tidy. Hope to have your good custom again next year. Property Owner

  • "There was no hot water, it was lukewarm."

Not hot enough for a shower or bath. It was in a very built up area with a lot of very noisy children shouting and screaming in their gardens. Not ideal for a couple of pensioners, Thank goodness we only booked for three days.

Thank you for the feedback. I was sorry to hear of the issues you had with the hot water, it would have been lovely if you had contacted us at the time and we could have sent a plumber to rectify the issue. The existing immersion heater provides adequate hot water for a shower or bath. In addition to this, I will be having a brand new central heating boiler installed this summer. It is always good to hear children playing and being happy in their gardens, there is nothing here to be resolved. Property Owner

  • "Fantastic week, perfect location for us."

One or two minor issues. Definitely not complaints. 1). Sofa while new and immaculate must be the poorest design ever!! Due to the sloping nature of the armrests occupants are pushed together whether they want to be or not!! 2). No toilet brush, pretty self explanatory. 3). I think one of the hoover tubes had been mislaid or the short one was telescopic and too complicated for me to use!! 4). A "whirly" clothes drier in the garden.would have been great and save on the electricity ( weather permitting). 5). Because I have a weakness in my legs a small grab handle or handrail at the front and rear doors would be of great assistance and much safer. Not a problem for normal fit people but it has been a long time since I was normal or fit . Overall excellent we had an excellent week thank you very much. P.S. 5). Never got any hot waster at the kitchen sink again probably operator error as everything seemed pretty new.
