    Walking distance of shops, train and bus station. Great walks from door. No problem parking. Lido looked nice but didn’t visit as October.

  • "Belle Vue is a perfect location to both the town and the Moors."

    On arrival we found Betty’s Lemon cake and milk in the fridge which was appreciated after a long drive. Access to the garden for our dogs was a added bonus and made us feel like a home from home. The apartment was absolutely spotless on arrival and the kitchen perfectly equipped with everything you need for a break. Andy the owner was extremely communicative on any questions and also called us to make sure everything was ok which was a really nice touch. Highly recommended. Thank you

  • "I had a lovely stay ."

    Found parking an issue. Only had a small mini convertible and even then a bit of a squeeze. Neighbours also rang and said my car was in the way . There was maintenance work on two of the days of my stay so quite noisy and the front door was left banging. Difficult to adjust heating for downstairs. Very clean and perfect location.

    Everything was in good order with all the home comforts. Nice garden kept well. Ideal location short walk to the town, with the countryside on your doorstep. Owners very attentive and an eye for detail. Loved the stay.

  • "A lovely well appointed apartment close to Ilkley and the Dales, beautifully provided with all one could need."

    The lack of street parking closer than 100 metres downhill from the house on most occasions took the gloss off the holiday and one got the impression that local residents resented visitor parking permits ( simply obtained online as directed by the owners).Loading and unloading the car for daily excursions was a misery especially with a dog who needed a crate to travel. Ideal for those travelling to Ilkley by public transport.

  • "Fabulous apartment in a brilliant location 5 mins walk to town."

    Clean and welcoming with a treat left for us and our Labrador. Really can’t fault this property! A small inconvenience is there’s only one parking permit per unit but that was understandable due to limited spaces. We would highly recommend and will be back.

    Great location, friendly owners when I called, great atmosphere, great apartment with everything we could possibly need and treats for us and the dog on arrival. This is a definite must and so much better than a non-descript hotel. We had a great time and need to come again. I rarely leave feedback but in this case it is very well deserved.   • "A great apartment."

    Pretty much everything has been thought of. The kitchen is fully equipped and everything is beautiful. The location is excellent. Met one of the owners, who was lovely. There are two en-suite double bedrooms downstairs, and a loo upstairs, so really easy to have your own space. The living room is roomy, as is the kitchen.

  • "We had a lovely week here and the house was absolutely perfect."

    Great, central location, parking usually available close to the house (once a free permit was obtained online) and everything was of a high standard and well-equipped. The only issue we had was the bedrooms (in the basement) were very difficult to warm up (very cold when we were there) as the thermostat is based in the hall way at ground floor level. Andy was very responsive and helpful but it would be a good idea to get this sorted out. We'll definitely book to stay here again on future visits to Ilkley though as it's a great place.

  • "The accommodation is very comfortable, quiet, well equipped and clean."

    I didn't cook anything as it is very conveniently located to walk into Ilkley and would be quite easy to get to by train. There were no parking problems. Being a dog owner the green at the front of the property was very useful. Very close to the moors.

  • "A modern comfortable super clean duplex apartment in a perfect location with which to explore the Ilkley area."

    You can walk into town and up onto the moor in five minutes. Access the moor by taking the public footpath to the left of the Craiglands Hotel (one of many options). The owner is very responsive and super helpful if you have any queries.

    One of the nicest and most comfortable properties we have stayed in. Excellent amenities and very centrally situated to the town or to the many wonderful walks in and around Ilkley. The owners have made sure you have all you need to make your stay enjoyable. The two bedrooms with en suites add a touch of privacy and luxury too. We will be looking forward to our next visit hopefully soon.

    Have stayed in Ilkley many times before but nice to be there for a week - plenty to do and loads of restaurants, pubs etc. Good base for exploring the Dales and good train service for going to Leeds or elsewhere.

  • "Belle Vue is a wonderful apartment, 10 minute walk from Ilkley town and the moors."

    Very well presented with quality fixtures and fittings. Lovely welcome gifts from Betty's tearooms for us and treats and ball for the dog. Exceptionally clean, just our style not too frilly or fussy, but homely. Didn't need to bring any extras, very well catered for with coffee, teas, loo rolls, cleaning and washing liquids etc. Comfy beds and powerful showers. Only slight complaint is that the WiFi could be better at peak times. Would happily stay again and would recommend to anyone! Ilkley is a lovely location, didnt move the car once, walked from the flat all week. (P.S. - Parking is free, you just follow the instructions in the apartment to register your car - very easy to do!)

  • "An excellent place to stay, to explore Ilkley and the surrounding areas, and just a short walk from the centre of town and train station."

    With its many differing cafes, bars, shops and restaurants all tastes are catered for. The apartment itself was of a very high standard and spotlessly clean and has more than enough wardrobe / cupboard space. Parking is available opposite the apartment, by obtaining a free ‘virtual’ parking permit, online (full and easy instructions of how to do this are supplied in the extensive welcome pack). We would not hesitate to return to Belle Vue the next time we holiday in the area.

  • "The apartment was totally brilliant, right up to leaving milk and biscuits for us."

    We think this home owner went the extra mile and we really appreciated it. Our little dog Evie really enjoyed her welcome pack too. Thank you! We didn’t enjoy Syke’s cheeky non-upfront ‘booking fee’ which came as a surprise at check-out meaning they competed unfairly with other cottage companies we were looking at. Because of the circumstances of needing to book somewhere we swallowed the fee to make the booking but basically all of the hidden charges added 25% on top of the baseline booking. £400 ish became £500 ish. Quite a hike. So in summary, we loved the accommodation but not the agent’s practice.

The old Spa town of Ilkley is the pivotal town of Wharfedale, undoubtedly the most popular of all the Yorkshire Dales. The area offers some of the most spectacular and unspoilt scenery in the land. For the walker it gives unrivalled tramping ground. High up on the moors next to the white-walled cottage of White Wells (where once donkeys carried gout-ridden gentlemen to be doused in the icy-cold moorland spring) visitors will see a carefully landscaped Victorian scene including two semi-artificial lakes and the river Wharfe meandering through the centre of the town. Ilkley still has a Victorian and Edwardian feel to it. Splendid shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés adorn the tree-lined streets. Bettys, without doubt the finest tea shop in Yorkshire, and therefore the world, is situated on The Grove. Lovely parkland, a choice of open air or indoor swimming pools and a family picnic area providing pleasure for all.
