"We stayed here over the Easter holiday weekend."
The cottage was very clean and had pretty much everything we needed. It’s tastefully decorated and the furniture in the property was good quality. On arrival there was calming music playing and calming scents. There was also a nice welcome basket with crisps, biscuits, wine and eggs provided. There’s a small patio off the living room which can be accessed by patio doors and has nice views of the grounds and countryside and gets morning sun. The larger rear patio is accessed from a gate to the side of the cottage, it doesn’t have any views but it’s fully enclosed and private so makes a nice little sun trap as it gets sun most of the day. If I could nit pick, I would say there a few minor areas that could be improved: - there’s no curtain or blind covering the living room patio door, and as there’s a gap in the partition wall between the the living room and the bedroom so light gets in the bedroom. I was woken up by the light around 5:30am which was annoying as I’d like to have slept later - there are plenty of plug sockets, but there weren’t any that I could see near the sofa or bedside cabinets - the wet room got really wet, (I get it, that’s what it’s for) but the small glass partition in the shower area didn’t stop the shower water splashing everywhere, so the bathmat got soaked after each use - I’m aiming high with this suggestion… as the back patio is private, sizeable, appears to have power supply and gets a decent amount of sun…this would be an ideal spot for a hot tub and/or maybe a built in BBQ Overall we had a lovely relaxing stay and the comms from Glenn pre our stay and during our stay were great and made us feel welcome. We would definitely return.

"We had a fantastic week at Nell's Cottage."
The cottage was beautifully renovated, well-equipped and spotlessly clean, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay with our pup. The owner, Glenn, was very friendly and on hand when we had a query but otherwise kept a discrete distance. The area was lovely and within easy reach for all our dog-walking priorities - forest paths and beaches. We will definitely return and recommend to friends and family. I very much recommend this property.

"Owners responded to questions really quickly."
Perhaps a curtain should be fitted on the Patio windows as it’s a bit like living in a Gold Fish bowl at nighttime with no privacy. Would also help retain the heat in the room. Could do with a long handled Squeezy In the Bathroom to wipe the floor over after having a shower. The glass side is not quite long enough to to protect the floor from getting very wet around the bathroom when having a shower, the hand held squeezy is difficult to use. Needs a chair or access to a mirror with a seat for ladies to apply make up & dry their hair. Would stay again
Hi Peter, thank you so much for your feedback it really is appreciated, so gutted you never mentioned anything whilst you were here as I’m confident we could have remedied all your points raised. The Curtains for the bifold doors are on order, the wet room is purposefully designed as a wet room to allow wheelchair access it’s the only cottage out of the 3 onsite that is also accessible so increasing the size of the glass would unfortunately hinder that access, the floor is designed to drain away to the linear drain and the tiles are textured for grip, the hand held squeegee is for the glass and the mirror. We’ve purchased a small mobile mirror as suggested, we look forward to you staying with us again Peter maybe try one of the other cottages next time they’re bigger and with shower enclosures. "Our 4 night stay at Nell's cottage was fabulous."
We had a wonderful warm welcome on our arrival. There was music playing, lamps were lit and there was a lovely welcome basket of goodies including fresh laid eggs, wine and biscuits. The interior decor of the cottage was outstanding and everything had been thought of. The huge super king sized was amazing!! The surrounding area of the cottage was so peaceful and it was lovely to watch the owner's pony in it's paddock in front of the cottages. I would definitely recommend Nell's cottage as it was only 15 miles from the coastal towns of Filey and Scarborough or inland to one of the many towns and villages of North Yorkshire. A bonus was being able to take our young dog who loved it and felt very settled away from home. We will definitely return to Nell's Cottage knowing that we will have a very relaxing time. Glenn, the owner, was in contact if there was anything you needed, as their amazing farmhouse was next to the cottages.

"Comfortable, well equipped cottage."
The owners have done a great job with Nell's cottage, it is well equipped and very comfortable. The decor is 1st class and the bed is very comfortable. Having patios at front and rear of property means you can catch the sun all day. The patios have fencing and gates so are secure for dogs. There are lovely views over surrounding countryside and is in a convenient location for days out to coast or country. The owners are friendly and helpful. Will definitely be paying another visit. Thanks.
