Millington has a pub, The Gait Inn and also a tea room, The Ramblers Rest. both well worth a visit. The views from the front windows of the cottage are lovely and I was lucky to see some beautiful moon rises over the hills during my stay. The cottage is furnished to a very high standard and is cosy and comfortable, a lovely place to return to after a day out. The furnishings are lovely and the king size bed is extremely comfortable, the best I have experienced in a rental property. The walking in the area is excellent, the Yorkshire Wolds Way being easily accessed from the property. A visit to the Robert E Fuller art gallery at Thixendale is really worth a visit as is a walk from Goodmanham along the Hudson Way (a dissused railway) to the site of Kiplingcotes station and return perhaps via a circular route along the Yorkshire Wolds Way. The owners of the cottage are friendly and welcoming but not intrusive leaving you to enjoy your holiday. I would recommend this property to my family and friends and hope to return there at some point in the future.

The property

Fran's Cottage is a delightful cottage at the heart of Millington village one of the Yorkshire Wolds' characterful collection of villages.

Ideal for couples, three friends or a small family.

As soon as you step through the door you'll instantly feel at home.

This open plan living space is designed for comfort with everything from the cosy woodburning stove to the well-equipped kitchen and dining area.

The king-size bed is heavenly after exploring this scenic and varied area.

There is a single bedroom and shower room.

The village has a tea room and great pub serving meals so if you love to eat but not keen on cooking there is a good choice and within walking distance.

The walks around here are plentiful and the cycling equally good; nearby is part of a section of the Tour de Yorkshire route.

The beautiful historic city of York is a mere 16 miles away and the unspoilt Edwardian resort of Filey is less than 30 miles along a scenic route.

Note: This property is next to Ref 953994, together they sleep 8.
