If you can tear yourself away from this heavenly oasis, take a short stroll through the village to discover the local pub, The Stags Head Inn, where you can sample their home-cooked menu or linger over a pint after a long walk, alternatively, find more amenities within the surrounding villages, including the nearby village of Burton Pidsea, where you will find a choice of two pubs and a shop for picking up any essentials. Outdoor activities are also in abundance here too, with miles of cycle and footpaths to explore from the doorstep of the barns, as well as some of the best birdwatching opportunities in England, with the beautiful Spurn National Nature Reserve at the tip of the peninsula. Beachcombers and those with young children will be delighted by the short dive towards the coast, where you can spend your days lazing on the shores of Withernsea, Tunstall and Hornsea Beach. Other local attractions include Burton Constable Hall & Grounds, East Park with its small zoo and Skidby Mill. Alternatively, venture further afield to the picturesque Wolds town of Beverley and the historic city of York, where you will find even more exciting things to do.
