  • "Another lovely break in wonderful Whitby."

This was our 4th and definitely not our last stay in your beautiful apartment, very comfortable and spotless in a perfect location next to the beach and close to all the best restaurants. We will be back

Dear Jayne, thank you for your lovely review, it was wonderful to see you return and we look forward to welcoming you back again. Best wishes, Neil & Pam Property Owner

  • "Bram's Lair is a lovely flat and provided everything that was required for a comfortable week’s stay."

The only negative would relate to a few minor issues which could easily be rectified. First the window in the front bedroom is extremely draughty around the opener. The bad weather towards the end of the week meant the door had to be shut otherwise the draft would have rendered the central heating less effective around the rest of the flat. We were lucky there was only us but if you had a larger group it would have been an uncomfortable stay for the ones using that room. Some stick on draught exclusion tape would help. Second the kitchen floor has lifted between two joins which creates a bit of a trip hazard. Again this can be easily rectified. The welcome bag was very much appreciated and a lovely touch.

Dear Justin, thank you very much for this review, we really appreciate the feedback. The two mirror points you raise about the window in the front bedroom and the kitchen floor was not something we were aware of and will rectify this. We are pleased to hear you had a comfortable stay and you also appreciated the welcome bag. Best wishes, Neil & Pam. Property Owner

  • "Lovely apartment in a beautiful and convenient location."

Owners were fantastic - the only problem we experienced (with the building, not the apartment) was sorted straight away. Everything we needed was provided as well as a much appreciated welcome pack. We managed to find parking spaces nearby using the scratchcard permits provided despite it being particularly busy for Goth Weekend. Will definitely visit again - thank you!

Dear Rebecca, what a wonderful review, thank you. It was lovely to meet you and the family and we were so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Bram’s Lair. We hope to welcome you back. Neil & Pam Property Owner

The welcome pack was a lovely touch and very much welcome after a longer than usual journey up. The location was perfect, just stepping outside with a coffee and sitting on the promenade of an evening was just amazing.

Dear Jeanine, thank you so much for this lovely review. Really pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay at Bram’s Lair and made the most of the location. We hope to welcome you back at some point. Neil & Pam Property Owner

Location of Bram's is fabulous with great views over the promenade & out to sea. It is only a short walk into town. The welcome pack was an added bonus. Thanks very much. I would definitely recommend Bram's & hopefully we will be back soon.

  • "The holiday flat, was lovely."

The welcome pack great. Parking was horrendous, ( not the holiday letting company’s fault) it took me 2 days to be able to park on the road, luckily my mum has a disabled badge, so we were able to park without paying, in a different street. The toilet seat needs changing, it doesn’t fit, it’s a shame, as the decor is lovely, then you put the wrong size seat on the toilet, doesn’t make sense!

Dear Nicola, Thank you very much for the feedback, it is always good to hear from our valued guests. It is wonderful to hear you found Bram's Lair lovely, we have had lots of tremendous feedback on our property, as you can see. With regards to the toilet seat, we have never had anyone mention this previously and as owners we check during each changeover, however, we will check this and address if required. Unfortunately your arrival coincided with the busiest weekend of the year being the Whitby Regatta and all the attractions such as the Red Arrows display, so parking that weekend is indeed a challenge for everyone, including residents of Whitby. It is good to hear you were able to use the disabled badge and eventually found somewhere. Thank you once again. Neil & Pam PS: Since I drafted this I have looked at the toilet seat and it simply needed adjusting, which it has been accordingly. Property Owner

Accommodation was as described, lovely welcome pack and our dog enjoyed the treats! Excellent location in a lovely, quiet area. It is very atmospheric with the Dracula connection, it certainly felt very quaint. We just love these beautiful old buildings in Whitby. Would definitely stay here again.

  • "I can highly recommend this ground floor accommodation."

It’s location is within a short walking distance to the main part of Whitby without being in it. Parking was easy and we managed to park outside the residence on all the days of our stay. The provision of a parking voucher took the worry away. The accommodation was very clean and you have all the amenities you would need to make your stay comfortable. We would rebook this accommodation without hesitation and would be disappointed not to get it gain. The only suggestion we would have is to provide some oven gloves.

Dear Michael, Thank you very much for this wonderful review. We are delighted to hear you had such a good stay at Bram’s Lair and hope to see you return again. We do provide an oven glove and these are placed in the apartment every week by our housekeepers during turnover as they are washed; we apologise for their oversight on this occasion. • "Perfect in every way!"

Comfortable beds (so important), excellent little kitchen, fab sea views, toy box which our daughter loved, generous welcome pack…. And of course the privilege of staying in the place that inspired Bram Stoker’s famous story! Thank you we’ve had a wonderful few days in your lovely property. We’ll be back :-)

Dear Cheryl, Thank you for your lovely review, we are delighted to hear you've had a wonderful stay in Bram's Lair and enjoyed the apartment and the wonderful sea views too. Also lovely to hear that the toy box was used by your daughter, we were considering removing that as we were unsure if anyone used it! Hope to see you return to one day. Thank you again, Neil & Pam. Dear Darren, Thank you for taking time to provide feedback. We are extremely disappointed to learn that the bathroom was not cleaned to the high standards we and every guest should expect; this is most unusual given the many reviews and feedback we receive. • "Well placed and spacious apartment."

Convenient for the town but also ideal for a stroll along West Cliff. Only one slight problem, the bathroom lock didn't work. Not too much of a problem as there were only the two of us for most of the week and when our daughter and her husband joined us for a few days we devised a signalling system to indicate in use or not! Brilliant welcome hamper. Would definitely stay there again.

Dear Trevor, Thank you very much for your lovely review, it is always good to hear from our guests and we are so pleased you enjoyed Bram's Lair and you wish to return one day. The interior has an open-plan living space with blue, grey, and white décor, as well as a shaker-style kitchen with everything you need to prepare home-cooked meals.

Unwind on the sofa with a cup of tea as you catch-up on shows on the wall-mounted TV or curl up on the armchair to escape into the pages of a book.

The dining table is great for mealtimes and board games, so you can look forward to spending time together.

After a day lounging on the beach, freshen up in the shower room before choosing your room.

There are two bedrooms, a king-size with a dresser and a double bed with a single bunk on top with storage to keep your belongings.

In the morning, enjoy a quaint stroll around Crescent Gardens before picking a café to enjoy a home-cooked breakfast and steaming cup of coffee.

The coastal town of Whitby is ideal for the explorers at heart, where you can tour the ruins of Whitby Abbey, head up 199 steps for splendid views of the coastline and enjoy fish and chips on the sandy beach to unwind.

A short drive will lead you to the picture-perfect village of Robin Hood's Bay; here you can paddle in rock pools on the sweeping beach, find ancient fossils and dine out at a traditional pub.

Also, within easy reach is the vibrant town of Scarborough, home to a medieval castle to immerse yourself in the past, an aquarium to admire sea creatures and a water park for a splash.
