“Really enjoyed the stay in your cottage just one fault the toster didn't work properly.”

The added bonus was the log burner as it turned very cold at night. The cottage location was excellent only a few minutes walk into centre Would definitely say again and recommend it to friends Thankyou Linda and Tina. From Sheffield South Yorkshire.

The property

Nestled just ahead of the banks of the River Esk, overlooking the Whitby to Middlesbrough railway, is number 10 Railway Cottages.

This reverse-level accommodation offers beautiful views out towards Whitby's most appealing attractions and access to the North York Moors, where nature sits alongside a rich history of awe and wonder.

Entry is gained to the property at street level, where you can park your car securely.

The inviting hallway boasts a cloakroom and an open-plan living room enjoying the views of the harbour, abbey and steam trains passing by.

The lounge area has a cosy feel, layered with neutral shades of cream.

A fabulous woodburning stove warms the entire room on a cold wintry evening.

Cosy up together and enjoy quality time with the family, with your favourite programme on TV.

There is also a lovely dining area in this room, at which you can eat your meals prepared in the immaculate kitchen.

Cream-coloured units are combined with cool grey worktops for a sleek finish.

The bathroom rests on the lower ground level, following two double bedrooms.

Step out onto the patio from the first double bedroom, where the sun can be enjoyed at the seating area and on the small lawn.

This delightful cottage is in the perfect location for seeing the sights; explore the sandy beach, the commanding abbey and a variety of shops and pubs in the town itself.

Why not take a break from the cooking for the evening and try the food at The Whitby Way pub nearby?

Walkers and outdoor enthusiasts will love a day out on the moors, which surround Whitby with deep, secluded valleys, waymarked trails and a spectacular coastline of craggy headland.

At the end of an adventuresome day, return to this wonderful cottage in North Yorkshire.
