    Clean and comfortable and well kitted out for our stay. Lovely open plan kitchen/diner/lounge which makes it great for up to 6 people staying. Most impressed by the Halloween decorations that were put up for our weekend stay for Goth Weekend so they were really appreciated! Would really recommend this place to any one!

  • "Wobble Pops was a great place for the short 5 day Whitby break we enjoyed, it was very central, comfortable, clean & equipped with everything we needed."

    It's location is perhaps not best suited for anyone with mobility issues being up a steep cobbled path or lots of steps from the quayside street below & has a shared access. We were almost on a level with the church up on the hill near the abbey. The beds were very comfortable & there was a lovely view across the estuary, especially at night with the twinkling lights. Very happy with the service & help from Sykes Cottages & would certainly consider booking with them again.

  • "The property internally is nicely presented."

    There’s a good fitted kitchen with built in appliances and every item of crockery and kitchen utensil you could think of. The electric recliners were very comfy and there is a modern bathroom with a good shower. The property was very clean and nicely presented. The negatives are that the access is poor. Although it’s the norm for Whitby the access is much steeper than we expected and the nearest parking is quite a walk away. 100% not wheelchair accessible and would be very difficult with a pram. The adjoining property is scruffy with rubbish etc in the garden and access to the house is through the neighbours garden. Not ideal and made us feel uncomfortable pushing past their washing to get to the house. The views across the roof tops towards the harbour are amazing. But, below the house are some scruffy flats and we observed a man allowing his dog to poo all over the patio every day and never picked it up. Not pleasant. The bed in the big front bedroom wasn’t very comfortable. The lack of a garden was also a shame.

    Very clean and well equipped - only issue with this place is the access, as mentioned in previous reviews, but if you have done your research, you will know about this! We managed okay to be fair, and it was worth it for the views! Try to park (even temporarily) on Ropery Lane to unload and load if you can as this is closest to the property, we then moved the car further along where there was a vacant parking space. Stayed between Xmas and new year and the place was really cozy!

  • "Absolutely amazing place ."

    Great location . Arrived and it was all straight forward . The place was immaculate everything you need is there . It was a lovely welcome to see a nice plum cake and biscuits also tea coffee sugar and milk sachets to start you off ( we did bring our own ) but was nice to have a quick cup of tea before unpacking . We was all fine with the stairs that lead to property but I would say not good for those that are less able to climb . We would definitely return here . Thankyou for a wonderful stay you thought of everything xx

  • "Overall the house was fabulous."

    It was definitely a real difficult trawl generally climbing up the long slope and alternately the steps towards the house especially with our suitcases up from the main road and not many people would manage it , especially with little ones . We reckon it should be much clearer on details. The house was beautiful . Bed was very comfy. Lounge and tv was brilliant we loved the comfy seating. Kitchen was great. If you’re not tall you would find getting in and out of the bath a struggle as it’s set extremely high. High stools at the breakfast bar wouldn’t be suitable for young children . We couldn’t fault the house and thoroughly enjoyed our stay as the convenience of the location was great and we parked up at the nearby pay and display for two days , no problem.
