  • "What a lovely place."

Cozy and comfortable. High end fixtures from Denby pottery to gorgeous cutlery. Easy access into town. Great friendly owners who helped us with our baggage. They were there decorating for Xmas. A big thank you from our cat Maeve who loved watching the sparrows in the bushes outside. Parking at the rear of the property was a real bonus. We would definitely return. Thank you.

  • "Lovely place."

Well equipped. Very clean. Most welcome milk in the fridge and biscuits. Definitely will be our first choice next time in Whitby. No complaints whatsoever. If possible, a walking map of ways to get to the harbour could be useful for people who don’t know the area, could make a shorter walk for the elderly like us.Also if poss, a light directly over the steps down. We used a torch, but if you don’t have one in your pocket, best to be careful. Thank you for a lovely mid week break.

  • "The Hideaway was all it was claimed to be."

The minute we walked in we knew we were going to love our stay. The property was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Whitby has always been a favourite place of ours but the parking space and being able to bring our dog was a bonus . The wine and biscuits went down a treat. Thank you we will be back.

  • "Lovely cottage in an excellent location."

Rooms all a good size and clean. Kitchen equipped with everything you need. Bed very comfortable and duvet just right for time of year. Only a short walk into town centre or the promenade. View of the abbey from in front of the property excellent. Having a car space really good. Enjoyed our stay.

  • "We loved our stay at The Hideaway."

It was clean, comfortable, stylish and spacious. The parking space was a brilliant bonus. We had no issue with the internet / Wi-Fi. It is situated perfectly for the town and attractions but is on a nice, quiet street. When you walk out the door there are amazing views across the town to the Abbey and the opposite end to the impressive St Hilda’s church. There was also a welcome gift left for us, a very nice touch. When we come back to Whitby we will be checking this apartment for availability first. Thank you.

  • "Thank you Stuart and Sharon for another lovely stay at the Hideaway - you even provided the excellent weather."

If I come to Whitby again, I will definitely stay at The Hideaway. Ideally situated, just a short walk to town and not too far coming back after a few scoops ... :-) Thank you - Graham and Billy (Golden Retiever)

  • "Excellent location, spacious property, private parking within a few feet of the property an absolute bonus."

Easy access to town centre, comfy king size bed. We will return to Whitby possibly later this year, or 2026, and hopefully this property will be available.

The property is very comfortable and well-equiped.

  • "Great location."

Parking a great advantage. Will definitely be returning

  • "Tidy, clean property, in good location, Had everything you might need."

Parking space a massive plus point. Wine and biscuits, a nice touch. Only issue was the Internet, which dropped out a lot. We were out all day bit liked to spend the evening in with a takeaway and a bit of tv. Aerial wasn't great and had trouble watching apps like iplayer because constantly buffering due to Internet , especially between 6pm and 8pm. Very much enjoyed our week overall.
