  • "Lovely accommodation, if a little cramped (bedroom & shower room)."

Kitchen fully equipped with everything we needed. Two comfy sofas complete with throws for our dog, although we had taken our own blankets for the sofa and bed. The owner had left bread, milk, mince pies and prosecco which was very much appreciated. The local pub, shop and beach were all quite close and Mayzie (springer spaniel) enjoyed Beadnell beach and Bamburgh. We will visit again!

  • "Had a lovely week stay here ."

Nice and cosy in a well placed area . Very quiet at night lovely walk to beaches. We walked to Seahouses which didn't take long it took about 30 minutes. We liked to walk around the village and spot the many stall on the walls . People selling jam books trinkets and more selling for charity for their village hall . Would definitely be back for a visit. Enjoyed the gifts on arrival too thanks again.

  • "We found the property clean and tidy, great little garden very safe for our tiny dog to play in."

I slept really well very quiet. The cottage has a good location close to the village shop and beaches. Seahouses a pleasant little walk on coastal path. Our third time at Beadnell and we love it. The only reasons I didn't give full marks for cleanliness and maintainance, there was a funny smell when entering the living room maybe coming from the sink. The wall in the bedroom looks damp as though there is a leak somewhere at the ceiling edge. These sre not negatives as I would definitely stay again. Safe parking area for the car too off the road.

  • "We were very disappointed and expected to see a lovely little cottage in beadnell, however it is a small bungalow in the middle of a housing estate with a view onto another property."

The house was very basic and reminded us of sitting in your grans house when you were little with a table stuck in the corner with a white tablecloth over, the tv could do with an update as it was just basic tv and the blinds in the property were all broken and snapped which need replacing, couldn’t work the heating for the towel rail so had wet towels maybe needs some information for guests. There was a musty smell in the bedroom and patches of what looked like damp on the walls and the high draws and wardrobe were too close to the bed to be comfortable. The outside decking was covered in what looked like soil and muck. We were that disappointed we left a day early.

  • "Thoroughly enjoyed our few days away, wished we could have stayed longer, my 4 year old grandson and I loved the closeness to everything!"

We walked and played on the beach and children's playground, ate at the Salt Rock bistro and returned home to the cosy and inviting Primrose Cottage that was immaculately clean and welcoming, would come again in a heartbeat!

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
