"The property served as a Base for our holiday, which we thoroughly enjoyed."

The property wasn't clean on arrival, our booking had actually been missed, so the bins were still full and the house in my opinion needed a good deep clean. However theh were very apologetic and cleaners came in the following day to clean. Even after this, it wasn't what I would expect as 'clean', there were dead flies and cobwebs around the property. The property needs some maintenance to be up to a holiday let standard (in my opinion) the heating didn't work, and we lacked hot water at times, called the numbers provided and left an answerphone message, but no return call. All this on one side, we had a fantastic holiday. Positives a out the cottage, location, lots to do and Wooler is a lovely town, we didn't visit the pub, but it's not far away and the cottage feels somewhat secluded and away from the pub traffic as such. The kitchen is great, lots of equipment, only thing lacking was a cheese grater. The bathroom and shower were great too, a good shower which is bonus! Water is slow running in the bath, but a bath and shower are welcomed, especially with children. Garden is secure for the dogs too, all in all we had a great time - cottage could easily be improved from basic maintenance, not letting these things taint the holiday, we had a lovely stay!

"So "good" we packed up and came home 3 days early."

The lounge felt like stepping into a 'time warp' the sofa and chairs were probably 1970 or 1980's and honetly should have been in a skip by the 1990s', truely the most uncomfortable furniture we have ever used, including chairs at the kitchen table. None of the patio doors were able to be used, the front door was a nightmare to lock, kitchen hob was either not working or instructions were incorrect, dishwasher and fridge seemed to work OK. We found the beds to be just as uncomfortable as the lounge suite. WiFi worked albeit painfully slow at times. Garden and outside areas were as described. The best thing about the place was the shower although the door (or seals) could do with being replaced. Overall the Garden House really needs a complete makeover. Would never consider returning PS Give the Tankerville Arms a miss, it's really not worth it.

"The house is really nice but could do with some maintenance."

The patio doors are not secure even when locked. The main door is difficult to lock as it has dropped slightly which is an easyfix with an allen key.The living room suite is in dire need of replacing as quite dirty and very uncomfortable even though some attempt has been made to improve it. The only other thing is that it would improve the look of the cottage so much if the windows were cleaned. I really appreciate your help in taking us in as our arrival was at short notice.

"Lovely location house, king size bed and private parking and 2 toilets which was very convenient."

The house was very spacious The settee was very uncomfortable it’s seen better days. duvet cover had holes and towells had had plenty of wear. Stair carpet is threadbare in places. The windows in the kitchen are very draughty and the door blind needs replacing as it only winds up by hand Food in the tankerville arms was poor but the staff were very welcoming
