The property

75 Morpeth Mews is a pleasant single-storey caravan resting in Wooler, Northumberland, well placed for mountain views, parking, and relaxed open-plan living.

Step inside and you are drawn through to the heart of the caravan, where a generous corner sofa invites the whole group to gather after a day exploring the hills and nearby coast.

The open-plan layout keeps everyone together, as the well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and sitting area flow easily into one another, making mealtimes simple and sociable.

Large windows draw in natural light and allow you to keep an eye on the landscape beyond. Patio doors open out onto the wraparound decking, where enclosed outdoor space offers a handy spot for children to play and a safe area for your four-legged friend to potter about.

Here, you can sit out with a drink, watch the changing skies over the mountains, and linger over unhurried family time in the fresh Northumberland air.

When it is time to turn in, a double bedroom and two twin rooms provide practical sleeping arrangements for groups of friends or extended families, served by a shower room and an additional cloakroom.

A double sofa bed in the living space caters for an extra two guests. From the door, Wooler’s shops and pubs are within walking distance, giving you easy options for supplies, meals out, and a gentle wander around this friendly market town.

A short drive brings you to Alnwick, where you can explore its famous castle and gardens.

Continue to Berwick-upon-Tweed for historic walls and riverside walks, or head to the coast at Bamburgh for sweeping beaches and an impressive castle perched above the sea.

With the Scottish border also within reach, 75 Morpeth Mews offers a straightforward base for discovering Wooler and Northumberland.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £100.

WOOLER

Berwick-upon-Tweed 16 miles; Bamburgh 15 miles; Alnwick 18 miles.

Wooler is a delightful, historic market town on the banks of Wooler Water, one of the tributaries of the Tweed, nestling in the foothills of the Cheviots, which form part of the Pennine Way. Known locally as "The Gateway to The Cheviots," Wooler has a selection of hotels and eating places and offers a magnificent location for exploring the whole of Northumberland and the Scottish Borders. There are a variety of walks to suit all walkers, from a river walk along the Wooler Water to the more strenuous hill climbs up one of the Cheviots. However, the bus station ensures a more leisurely bus trip out, and the North Sea coast is just a scenic drive away. Situated on the edge of the Northumberland National Park, Wooler is just a short drive away from the historic town of Alnwick with its famous Castle and Gardens, and the well-preserved garrison town of Berwick-upon-Tweed. Chillingham Castle, with its ancient herd of wild white cattle, and Coldstream, just over the Scottish border, are also nearby.
