Your home away from home

Seahorse Cottage is a delightful seaside getaway tucked away in the charming village of Beadnell, Northumberland, just a stone’s throw from the beach.

With off-road parking for one vehicle and room for two well-behaved pets to join the fun, it’s an ideal spot for families or friends in search of a break by the sea, whether you’re after laid-back beach days or coastal adventures.

Step inside and you’ll find a thoughtfully styled open-plan living space, featuring a well-kitted-out kitchen for rustling up your favourite dishes, a dining area to gather around, and a sitting room with a Smart TV for lazy evenings in.

The conservatory, with its additional dining space, provides a bright spot to enjoy your morning brew or supper with a view of the enclosed back garden.

Step out into the garden itself and you’ll find a tidy mix of patio and lawn, with outdoor seating that’s just the ticket for soaking up some sun or enjoying a bite to eat in the fresh air.

When it's time to retire for the evening, choose from two inviting bedrooms: a king-size room equipped with a TV for those lazy mornings in bed, and a welcoming bunk room, both promising a night of rejuvenating rest.

Serving the bedrooms is a sleek shower room where you can freshen up after a day of coastal adventures.

When you manage to peel yourself away from the inviting confines of Seahorse Cottage, Northumberland's breathtaking coastline lies at your doorstep, begging to be discovered.

Begin your explorations with a visit to the magnificent Bamburgh Castle, where history and stunning sea views combine, before following the rugged coastline to the evocative ruins of Dunstanburgh Castle.

A walk down the coastline will lead you to the beautiful Beadnell Bay Beach; pack a picnic and make a sunny day of it.

Visit Seahouses Harbour just next door, where you can watch the boats dance on the waves or opt for a more thrilling adventure with Billy Shiel’s Boat Trips which offer the unique opportunity to see seals and puffins up close.

Lastly, a visit to the National Trust's Farne Islands is a must; an important wildlife haven and a birdwatcher's paradise.

Whether you are seeking a relaxing beach break or a snug winter escape, Seahorse Cottage offers the perfect home base for your Northumberland adventure.

BEADNELL

Seahouses 1.5 miles; Bamburgh 5 miles.

This attractive and peaceful harbour village is situated beside one of the most beautiful stretches of Northumberland’s Heritage Coastline - Beadnell Bay. Established in Saxon times, Beadnell was once an important fishing village and a smuggler's haven. Nowadays, it is still a fishing village, but is equally popular with holidaymakers who come to enjoy its pretty harbour and, of course, the nearby sandy beaches. The village has a shop, two pubs and a café serving food. Popular Seahouses is just over a mile away and has shops, a supermarket and restaurants, and it also offers boat trips from the harbour to the magnificent Farne Islands - a haven for bird watchers. Bamburgh is close by, whilst the market town of Alnwick with its Castle and Gardens, shops, pubs and restaurants is a short drive away.
