"Lovely cottage in a very convenient location, handy for exploring the area on foot & by public transport."

"I love staying here and will return every time."
The cottage was much cleaner than my last stay as this was the beginning of the season. Just wanted to let you know the main bedroom quilt cover although had been cleaned - had big paw prints all over it where someone has let their dog on the bed and it’s not washed out. I didn’t want you to think it was me as I left my dog at home, and this may put people off. I’d definitely have a strict policy of no dogs on beds as I know what people are like. It’s the striped quilt cover / so you may want your cleaners to check it over before they put it back on as the muddy paws may not wash out. I will return later this year thank you ! Jo

"Great location for the town centre and pubs and beaches."
Having stayed in many properties in and around Seahouses, this was fine for a weeks stay for 2 adulte and a small child. I note a few comments from other people who had stayed previously and the place just needs a bit of tlc otherwise generally good. Kitchen was well equipped but Oven gloves and mixing bowls would be appreciated! Door handle to bedroom is loose and we did struggle with the pillows being uncomfortable. Also a more comfy sofa would have added to the comfort of the stay hence the rating given. Overall we had a good stay but please look at the feedback as a few simple improvements would make all the difference!

"A fabulous cottage in a super location."
We will definitely stay again

"The cottage is well styled but poorly maintained."
Door handles loose. Bathroom ligh over sink not working. Dammage to plasterwork. Paintwork throughout Cleanliness is a major problem. Inside cupboards, skirting boards. Carpets throughout need deep cleaning Facilities ok. Lacks a bowl for cooking. Fry pan needs replacing. Dining table in living room a waste as you have kitchen table. Would be better suited to another sofa.

"We had a wonderful week in this well appointed cottage but unfortunately there were a few issues."
The sink in the downstairs bathroom would not release so I was forced to wash upstairs - because I am due a new hip next week I could not use the shower over the bath (when I booked the holiday my hip was more manageable so I didn't this would be a problem). The upstairs sink had a plug that would not seal so I had to manage under running water until I could call maintenance on Monday morning. Both problems were cleared up whilst we were out on Monday. I also reported that the toaster did not heat up correctly but this was not fixed, so no toast all week. On Tuesday mu husband needed to charge his razor but the razor socket in bathroom does not work, I didn't report this as fortunately we had taken an adaptor plug with us. Everything else was great, I especially like the ease that the radient hob works. All in all, a very convenient location to explore the area and we spent a very happy week in Northumbria.

"Cottage was lovely location was great everything a short walk away definitely go back again"

"The location of the flat was great - and the upstairs was spacious, modern and comfortable."
Unfortunately, we found the downstairs (where the bedrooms are) to be damp and therefore smelly. Our towels wouldn’t dry despite being hung up, and there was condensation on the windows (even though it’s summer). This, alongside a smell of damp, made us think there may be a damp problem downstairs? Aside from this concern, our stay was comfortable and the cottage was nice. It’s near to a pub and the rooms are right on the street and so there was some noise but not to a level that prevented us from sleeping.

"Nice and clean."
As mentioned by others, a few small things need attention. The pop up plug in the upstairs toilet is fixed so we couldn't fill the bowl to wash. Door handle on one bedroom hanging loose. Looked like previously guests hadn't put bins out. The 2 general rubbish wheelies were chock full and smelly. We put the recycling bin out

"Lovely cottage very well equipped but the door handles were a bit loose."

"The cottage is stunning."
So clean, stylish and equipped with everything you could need. We had cosy nights in in front of the beautiful log stove which were a highlight for us. We can’t wait to return to Herringbone Cottage!

"Everything you'd need was there in the cottage which was ideally located in the village of Seahouses."
The cottage was comfortably welcoming after a day walking, a very clean and spacious place to stay. Ideal for small families and couples.
