    It was spotlessly clean and the quality of bedding and towels was excellent. It's only a 10/15 minute drive to many beautiful beaches. In all we would recommend as a great place to holiday.

  • "Lovely clean and spacious cottage, well equipped kitchen."

    Garden was a good size- not too big so we could keep an eye on the dogs from the lounge sofas. The full width patio doors were a welcome treat during the hot weather. The only potential improvement to suggest is to consider installing a gate at the front that could be closed if needed. The road is very busy. Would definitely recommend.

    The welcome pack for us and our little dog was very much appreciated, as was the enclosed garden. The perfect base for visiting the beautiful Northumberland close and very handy for Newton Hall wedding venue just 10 minutes away.

  • "This is a lovely, comfortable and cosy place to stay, generally well equipped, and handy for many attractions this beautiful area has to offer."

    On arriving, the property is warm and bright and we found it super clean, spacious and inviting. There's a lovely gas fire for colder evenings, but the house is super warm and the weather was generally mild during our stay, so we kept turning down the thermostats in the house. It's a quiet location, the road out the front gets a little crazy early in the morning as everyone goes off to work, so I put my little dog on her lead when putting her in our car as folks drive too fast! That said, there's loads of off road parking right outside the door, so if your dog is trustworthy, there's no problem. The trains did not disturb us, the house is triple glazed, so we quite enjoyed hearing them go by. You'll find most of what you need, a washing machine and an airer, clothes line outside if you want it, and most of what you might need in the kitchen. The wonderful beaches are just a mile or so away across the fields, the walk to Embleton is perfect for a stroll with the dog and you can walk to Craster if you fancy some kippers for your tea!

    It has everything you could wish for and more. We had a welcome tray with tea coffee and biscuits and milk in the fridge, which we appreciated. Very clean, and comfortable with a lovely enclosed garden. There's information of places to visit and telephone numbers in case of an emergency....Only a short drive to numerous beaches... Fabulous.

    Breamish was immaculately clean and so light and airy. It was so well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The addition of the sunny garden was brilliant for our dogs.   • "Breamish is a stunning house in a beautiful location."

    Everything you could possibly need is there, a fully stocked kitchen with plenty of crockery, glassware and utensils. The house and garden were spotlessly clean and it was very relaxing letting the breeze glow through the bi-fold doors. Great views from the front of the property over rolling farmland and I particularly loved it when the cows moved in! Lots of places to visit within a 10 mile radius, deserted beaches, pretty villages and extremely friendly people in very dog friendly pubs!

  • "We’ve just had a fantastic week at Breamish."

    What a lovely cottage. Everything was of the highest quality. It’s in a quiet location with open fields to the front and totally enclosed back garden perfect for our dog Poppy. We got a lovely warm welcome with the heating on perfect for the weather and a tray full of goodies!!! The location of the beaches are only a 5 minute drive away with Embleton being our favourite. We cannot recommend the cottage highly enough 10/10 and will return on our next visit to Northumberland.

Located within the North York Moors National Park in the Esk Valley in the civil parish of Danby, is the charming village of Ainthorpe. Set along the River Esk and home to a small selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants, including the well-known The Fox & Hounds and The Duke of Wellington Inn, both of which serve fresh and delicious meals as well as local ales, ideal after a day of exploring the moors. For a fun-filled day out for all the family, be sure to visit The Moors National Park Centre, which is set on the outskirts of the village of Danby.
