  • "We loved our stay at Potter's Cottage."

The cottage is beautiful and perfectly located for plenty of spectacular coastal walks. It was handy for local supermarkets, cafes and restaurants in Alnwick. We had such a good break and hope to stay again!

  • "We were delighted with Potters cottage, it had a lovely feel to it and the whole family felt relaxed and safe during our wee break."

I'd suggest getting a few plastic tumblers for children, I didn't risk your cut glasses with them and used mugs instead. Other than that we had everything we needed and had a wonderful stay- some of your furniture was just beautiful as well!

Thank you so much for your review - I’ll make sure to get some plastic tumblers and some plates too just in case - hope to have you back again soon !! Property Owner

It was in a good location not far from the centre of Alnwick. It had everything we needed in the kitchen and useful information about the property and local area. No hesitation in recommending.

  • "Cottage was delightful everything we expected but as my daughter had a broken arm and could only bathe and water over bath would not heat up we had to boil up the water in jugs each day , other than that the cottage was simply wonderful."

Thank you for this and apologies about the hot water I did have the heating engineer attend the same day you informed me about the issue who fixed it Property Owner

About the location

ALNWICK

Alnmouth 4 miles; Bamburgh 15 miles; Rothbury 10 miles.

The attractive and historic market town of Alnwick is dominated by Alnwick Castle, home to the Duke of Northumberland. The Castle Gardens, opened in 2002, are home to Europe's largest cascading water feature, a fabulous (and enormous) treehouse, a delightful rose garden and a beautiful, walled ornamental garden, which will delight novice and experienced gardeners alike; for even more excitement, the enchanted world of Lilidorei is also available at Alnwick Gardens, offering seasonal events and plenty of fun for little ones of your group. The castle is also famous as the setting for Hogwarts School featured in the Harry Potter films! The town's narrow streets have seen little change since the days when the London to Edinburgh stage coach passed through and the Market Place, with its stone cross, is still the central feature and the ideal venue for the weekly Saturday market. Alnwick offers a good selection of shops, pubs and places to eat and there is plenty to see and do, with miles of golden sandy beaches, numerous castles and boat trips to the famous Farne Islands all available nearby. Altogether a superb location for exploring Northumberland and its stunning Heritage Coastline.
