  • "A house that was basically old bedsits, they forgot to put bedding on 1 double bed and no towel, tv has no aerial, 1 sofa not 2 so seats 3 people no seating for anyone else, four plates 3 cereal bowls all chipped, 3 mugs, 2 glasses and cutlery 2 sets at best, shower curtain held up by wire but already broken, 1 shower unable to change temp so scalds you, this house is a complete bodge job and should never be allowed to be described as a holiday home."

    Its dirty outside with old building material in back yard, and inside a door handle broken on bathroom door so couldn't get in at first without use of some mole grips, paint peeling from ceiling, SYKES didnt answer phone when trying to advise them I have no bedding, no landlord number, please please stay away from.this property its nothing like described its literally old individual bedsits throw together to maximise landlords profits and has been done to minimum budget its grim at best. Some of the surface mounted electrical boxes arent sealed properly round the edges, floor edging strips broken screw loose on the floor cutting 1 persons foot open, old tired victorian end of terrace that is an area of all the houses having been converted into bedsits, very noisy extremely near a main road. Having used Sykes before successfully this has to be the worst house on there books, please people dont book here save your money and find an alternative, it ruined what was supposed to be a good weekend. I took photos of how cheap and bodged all of this property was and some of it dangerous. In addition I knew there was no parking but the closest car park 24 hours will cost you £30 so when you read there is parking nearby there is a council car park at a cost of £15 for 12 hours so £30 a day, no side streets as its all residents permit holder only, and the parking enforcement really are out 24 hours a day. There are plenty of alternative places to stay but please dont stay here its awful at best, pictures used are deceiving and cleverly done not like this when your in the house, if I could put the pictures up I would.

  • "The house was dirty."

    There was hardly any crockery or cutlery. Only six chairs at the dining table despite the fact we booked for 11 people. One bed did not have a duvet. Not enough towels. Sykes have not responded to our message. Total disgrace.
