"Cottage is in a good location for exploring the east side of the Peaks National Park."
It's located on a quiet lane, off a busier road, with limited parking as described in the property listing. The cottage itself is compact and good for a short break. However the devil is in the detail and there where just too many little things that take the shine off the overall stay. Therese would be easy to rectify and then I'd give it five stars, but as it is, only three I'm sad to say.

"The property was clean and comfortable and value for money."
It was ideal for the purpose of my visit which was returning to an area where I lived and worked 65 years earlier. Reference is made to the parking being a slight problem but I was lucky as I was the only one parking there for most of the week. If the two adjoining cottages were occupied I can see that there may be a problem.

"Was a lovely cottage and alot of work put into making it nice on the interior."
But the exterior and garden not looked after and couldn't be enjoyed.
Also the property wasnt cleaned fully. The oven was dirty inside with food in it. I did not touch or use the oven for this reason.
A shame as those two things are also important

"The cottage served our purpose for visiting Bollington."
Compact and clean, and adequate housewares. Mattress has seen better days! There were no instructions for leaving the property and few bin bags provided especially with a 14 day stay. Like others have mentioned parking was tight and one neighbour not very accommodating.

Lovely location, but shops in easy range and plenty of interesting places for walks or rainy days.

"This is the second time we have stayed at 3 Higher Lane and feel that it was not as good as the first stay."
On arrival we were very disappointed at the neglectful state of the garden. It looked nothing like the picture above. The grass was uncut this year and the weeds covered the patio area.
The kitchen clock was not working, nor the bedside light, which had been mentioned before. We tried to make contact with the owner and have had no reply.

"Listing should highlight in the bullet points that it is parking for 1 SMALL car and that there is a freezing compartment in the fridge."
We found the parking difficult. We were disappointed that there were no facilities for recycling and would have appreciated a few more instructions on how to use items.

"Fantastic, cosy little cottage for 2 people in a lovely location in the hamlet of Kerridge on the edge of Bollington."
Everything you need, but not too big to rattle around. Welcoming, pleasantly furnished and super clean. Plentiful hot water and heating. Nice local walks from the cottage for leisure along the canal, up White Nancy behind the cottage or down into the town for shopping. Handy pub. Easy access to walks in the Peak District or the sights of Cheshire and Manchester. We enjoyed an evening in Manchester, taking the train from Macclesfield.
Advance guidance about exactly how to park at the cottage (smaller vehicles) would be useful, along with suggestion for parking for larger vehicles. Maybe a diagram sent a couple of days in advance?

"Lovely cottage very well appointed with quality and class!"
Great location for Macclesfield and surrounds, I was there for work so didn’t visit tourist sites but plenty of scope for good long walks in quiet village and surrounds.
Clean and cosy with everything you need and a nice welcome pack, make for a very pleasant stay.
