“We really enjoyed our stay at Goldcrest Cottage.”

The location was actually quite perfect for exploring the area and doing many activities. The Lazy Trout Pub is walking distance from the cottage and does really lovely food, but advisable to book in advance. The cottage is really well laid out and has a nice outdoor space and benches. The reservoir is very close by and great for water sports as well as the 2.5 hour walk around the reservoir which is beautiful. We were lucky enough to have great weather so even did some climbing and bouldering ...

We were lucky enough to have great weather so even did some climbing and bouldering as The Roaches is a 10 minute drive away. It was a perfect holiday the only downside is the wi-fi, although we were told about that in advance. It was fine for basic requirements but not good enough for zoom calls etc! Leek is very closeby and there are lots of supermarkets and restaurants there too. We had a great break away and would recommend Goldcrest.
