  • "Fantastic property in a rural setting - very peaceful."

The house was tastefully decorated, had all the mod-cons required by a family and was very comfortable. There was an outside patio area with a barbecue. Owner on site and very helpful if you have a problem. The en-suite bedroom was wonderful and it was great to have twin beds in the second bedroom. Just had to be careful going up and down the spiral staircase. The third bedroom is children bunk-beds. We enjoyed the surrounding area - we played golf and found 3 excellent courses within a 10 mile radius. Would highly recommend this property

  • "Fantastic property!"

This was a short break for the family (myself, husband, 15 year old daughter & 10 year old son) & the first time we've brought the 6 month puppy away with us so we were slightly nervous about how it would go but we didn't need to worry at all! The house is gorgeous - beautifully kept with everything you could want. We've stayed in many places over the years and this would be one of the very best we've ever stayed at. Lovely for the humans and the puppy - felt very peaceful and not at all stressful for the few days we had. Internet access for the children (because lets face it - they can't go away without it!) Smart TV's that we were able to log onto our Netflix account on & generally a sense of calm. Lovely few days in a lovely house - massive credit to the owners who have really thought of everything & kept it all fresh and new.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay with us and hope to see you again. Stuart & Julie Property Owner

  • "A beautiful property in an ideal position for visiting places such as Ironbridge, Shrewsbury and Ludlow."

Very comfortable beds and lovely homely touches such as fairy lights and electric candles. The property had everything we needed and more! There is plenty of outdoor space and our dog was safe to roam around as there is mesh around the bottom of the fence so he could not escape. Very near to supermarkets, Tesco just 4 miles away. Watched lots of films on Netflix and good WiFi signal. Loved sitting outside listening to the wildlife and watching the squirrels running around, very tranquil, we will be definitely visiting again, outstanding property.

  • "Fantastic, this was my second visit."

The stairs are quite a challenge especially if you need the bathroom at night. Also needed a dust this time. Otherwise brilliant.

What a beautiful location and what a fantastic home! It was so clean and well equipped. The beds were super comfortable and the linen was top notch. The settees were welcoming and the view through the large patio doors, looking over a field, filled with wildlife was constantly changing. We really couldn’t recommend the Parlour enough - it was fantastic

  • "Nice barn conversion, generally very well done."

Electronic gates made feel very secure. Felt new and fresh. Very nice outdoor BBQ area but no weather for it sadly.generous tvs and Netflix but no code to get in. Negatives- only one towel. Need hand towels each. Not enough ice trays since on holiday like a drink in the evening. Minimal storage for clothes and no decent mirror. Master bedroom great but other bedrooms very small / hot. Stairs to loft room not suitable for anyone with balance issues . Only seating for 4 in lounge. Please provide bags for used laundry to be covid secure However - overall very nice place would recommend

  • "Owners really friendly."

Nearby if you need help but not intrusive. Get place if you have dogs. Plenty of seating area for socialising with family. Stairs to upstairs bedroom are not for young or elderly but other than that this was a great place to stay and has everything you need for your holiday.

  • "We had a lovely stay at the Parlour, made all the better by the glorious September weather!"

The hosts were friendly and eager to please. Perfect accommodation for us as a couple. However it wouldn’t be suitable (as stated in blurb) for younger children or the elderly to climb the stairs to the upstairs room. Third bedroom (bunks) only suitable for tiny people. Finished to a high standard but as a woman of a certain age, I found the synthetic bedding uncomfortably warm; in cooler weather this might be fine. Outside space is lovely, but our smallish dog soon learned how to climb through the large railings, meaning we either had to watch him closely or restrict his outside time! Some lovely features- I particularly liked the outside solar lighting!

  • "Stuart and Julie were amazing hosts and the cottage is stunning."

It’s like staying in a little version of a grand designs property, beautifully built and decorated to feel spectacular yet incredibly cosy at the same time. It was very nice to have the use of the fields to walk around and explore with our 8 year old too, who loved finding all sorts of creatures. The beds are really comfortable, the showers powerful and the sofas entice you to stay and relax. The kitchen is well equipped and you will find little touches here and there to make things just that little bit lovelier. It was a bit extravagant for us to stay as a little family of three, but we are already talking about booking again, we haven’t felt this relaxed in a long time!
