  • "Our party was over the moon with our accomodation at Knoll House."

    We stayed for a long weekend and the location is ideal for the walking route we had planned. It's walkable into the village which also has a good co-op and pubs serving food. The house itself is beautiful, spacious, well designed and immaculate. The garden area is very relaxing, the views are beautiful and the garden room was a wonderful extra bonus for us to be able to use. The owners were contactable and helpful and really made us feel at ease. 5 star for sure.

  • "We were blown away by how lovely the house was as soon as we walked in the door."

    We had 8 people staying and it never felt cramped. Lovely little extras made it really special (the Easter egg was a lovely touch also). The entire house was perfect top to bottom, immaculately presented, spotlesslessly clean with everything thought of from tea bags to dishwasher tablets! Thank you for an amazing stay.

  • "It was a beautiful house and very well equipped."

    Everything one needed was provided and any questions were answered quickly by Richard and Sue. Ideal location for exploring the area but note some places of interest do not open until Easter. We had food at both local pubs , all within walking distance to the house and we were made to feel very welcome at the pub quiz at the White Hart. We had a great holiday and would thoroughly recommend Knoll View.

  • "Excellent communication from Richard and Sue, they were very accommodating allowing us to arrive a little earlier due to the inclement weather."

    First impressions of the the home were so welcoming lovely aromas along with a thoughtful card,wine and biscuits.These little touches make the difference. The house is clearly well loved and is immaculate throughout. Filled with great quality tasteful fixtures.The kitchen was well stocked with an extensive selection of crockery and glassware and the bedding and beds are superior. Everything we needed was there and the summer house is a fun treat too. Located in a quiet development but close enough to amenities and the beautiful countryside. We would not hesitate to recommend or return Thank you both

  • "This is a beautiful, well maintained and equipped house in an excellent location for walking and visiting the Peak District."

    There are lots of walks from the village and we took the bus to Bakewell. The quiz nights in the village pubs were fun and we were made to feel very welcome and it was handy having a Co-op so close. The food at the Barrel Inn, Breton was excellent.

  • "Knoll View, I would not hesitate to recommend this property as a place to stay."

    The owners Richard and Sue, have focussed on attention to detail and cleanliness. The location was central and close to many of the top Peak District attractions, making it a fantastic base for visiting villages, towns and hiking. A well equiped house that has so much to offer. Plenty of off road parking meant we did not have to worry. The view out of the back of this property was wonderful, looking at the majestic hills of the Peaks. I would definitely stay here again.   • "Warm and very comfortable, a concerted effort had been made to make it feel homely with clear instructions for all utilities which is some times lacking in a rental and frustrating!"

    Even the gardens had been thoughtful designed, would love stay again if we were to re visit The peaks.

  • "I cannot recommend this beautiful house enough, six of us stayed here everyone of us was blown away with the high standard of the property."

    Each bedroom is really big well equipped and tastefully decorated., the kitchen was amazing with the quantity and quality of kitchen equipment This is an extremely tasteful and spacious home and I would recommend anybody to go and stay here. Thank you so much Richard we will be back.

  • "This is a beautiful new house in the village of Bradwell which though small is well served by amenities, walkable from the house, including pubs, a well-stocked Co-op, a fish and chip shop and two lovely play parks, one of which is in the centre with adult as well as children’s apparatus and a friendly cafe."

    The house is spacious, simply but stylishly and very comfortably appointed and is spotlessly clean. I think the thoughtful owners, Richard and Sue, who live in the village must have much experience in staying in holiday accommodation as this place wants for nothing - they understand what guests appreciate. The views of The Knoll are gorgeous and the garden well laid out and peaceful. There are lots of books and games for guests to use as well as information and maps of the area. There are many walks nearby as well as places of interest - Eyam, Hathersage and Castleton to name but a few. We enjoyed a delicious Sunday lunch at The Plough at Leadmill Bridge, Hathersage and a great lunch at The Three Roofs Cafe in Castleton. Some of our party enjoyed a swim in the outdoor pool in Hathersage - don’t forget to book.

  • "Beautiful house with modern amenities and very nicely decorated."

    Fantastic games room and Richard and Sue were very thoughtful and lovely hosts. Bathrooms could have been a little bit cleaner with some hair found in them. Be great to have an EV charger available too!

    We’re sorry that the cleanliness of the bathrooms fell short on this occasion. We do the cleaning ourselves and work very hard to try and make it perfect but we understand that sometimes stray hairs can be missed, especially when dealing with five bathrooms . We'll redouble our efforts to ensure this doesn't happen again. We're glad you enjoyed the rest of your stay and were happy with the house. Property Owner

  • "The house was excellent and very well equipped."

    We all loved our stay there. Whilst not being critical, there were a couple of points we noted purely for feedback for future guests. 1. A Bluetooth speaker would be useful just for background music in the kitchen/dining area. 2. The duvets were extremely warm. Maybe a lower tog rating could be used in summer 3. There was a lack of drawers in the navy blue bedroom. Some in the wardrobe would be helpful.

  • "Knoll View is an exceptional house, no expense has been spared."

    Fantastic location for exploring the Peak District. The view from the south facing back garden is breathtaking and the pavilion a lovely touch. En-suite showers an added luxury and the beds so comfy! As a family with adult children and elderly grandparent we all had a wonderful time. Would highly recommend to anyone.

  • "Knoll View is a stylish and very comfortably furnished house in a lovely village in the Peak District."

    The house was very clean, really well equipped and the furnishings and bedding etc all of exceptional quality. Having so many bathrooms was so convenient too.   • "Beautiful house in a great location linking you to many natural attractions nearby."

    The garden provides wonderful views, the house is well maintained and cleaned, on suites in the bigger bedrooms, nice sized comfortable beds! The sofa in the front room is so comfortable and is a great place for conversation. The hosts were also lovely and quick to respond to any of our queries during our stay. Would absolutely love to stay here again

  • "Knoll View is a wonderful property and Richard & Sue are great hosts."

    The house is extremely well equipped and beautifully decorated. The bedrooms are luxurious. It is the second time we’ve been to Bradwell. It is a lovely little village with all of the facilities you would need. It is also central in the Peaks with good access to walks and bike rides (some from the doorstep), local attractions, shopping and places to eat.

  • "What a lovely house to stay in!"

    Everything has been done to an amazing standard with high quality fittings & fixtures. It had everything you needed in the kitchen, lovely soap in every bathroom and hand towels provided along with towels for each person. There was plenty of room for our group of 6 girls and the gazebo was cosy with a heater provided. The location was great, not far from major routes and close enough to the village to walk to the pub. We had a lovely meal at The Shoulder of Mutton on the Saturday night. It was probably the nicest house we've stayed in & we would definitely recommend it.

Castleton 3 miles; Tideswell 4 miles; Buxton 11 miles; Bakewell 12 miles.

Bradwell is a pretty village in the Hope Valley, in a prime position in the Peak District National Park. Tideswell, with its renowned Tideswell church, known as the ‘Cathedral of the Peak’ is just four miles from Bradwell. The picturesque village of Castleton is three miles away, home to fascinating caves, including the Blue John Cavern, and is overlooked by the crumbling Mam Tor or 'Shivering Mountain'. The dramatic scenery of Winnats Pass and Edale in the Edale Valley, famous as the start of the Pennine Way, is nearby. Hathersage is just four miles away and has excellent cafes and an open-air, heated swimming pool. Slightly further afield you can potter around the historic market town of Bakewell, or the Spa town of Buxton, renowned for its spring water, opera house and arts, jazz and opera festivals. It is easy to spend a whole day at Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall, whilst there are many historic properties nearby.
