"Great location for 2 people within walking distance of the town with its many pubs!"
Lovely and comfortable apart from not having any opening windows, I had to wedge the front and back doors open just to get some air.
A curtain between the living area and the bedroom would be helpful for more privacy from the road without having to shut the curtains at the front door.
Having said that, we really enjoyed our time there and would return, thanks!

"Lovely and cosy space with everything you could need for a trip away."
I only missed some shelves or a dresser in the bedroom to put away my clothes, but this was a minor issue. The accommodation was spotless on arrival and well-equipped for cooking. It was perfect for a solo person and a great base for hikes.

"Foxgloves is a fabulous place to stay."
From the minute you walk in the door it feels like home. Lynn the owner was lovely, she left a bottle of wine for us which we drank on our first night. We will definitely return to Foxgloves, it's the perfect base for exploring Castleton and the surrounding areas.

"A really lovely annex, beautifully clean, loved the attention to detail and the bee theme."
Overall very comfortable and welcoming. I think a curtain between the bedroom and kitchen would afford more privacy from the front and a chest of drawers in the corner of the bedroom would be really useful. I would definitely recommend this property and the location is excellent. Castleton is a lovely place with great pubs and tea shops.

"PRO's
Really comfortable bed."
A nice kitchen area with plenty of utensils. A quiet location. Off road parking for a small car or on street parking if not.
CON's
2 large smart tv's but neither are hooked up to an aerial (so no live TV) so you have to use the apps (your own accounts) but the WiFi is poor so the app keeps crashing out. Therefore no reliable TV.
Large mould/rising damp area on the wall by the top side of the bed, inches away from your face when you're in bed. This is really poor for a holiday let and needs to be rectified. This is the part that let the property down the most.

"Thank you for the stay."
I had a great time exploring the local area. The place was comfy and warm so made a great base to relax in mornings and evenings before heading up over the hills. It had all the facilities you could need. The place is in a nice quiet location away from the noise of the main road and the main village. Plenty of on street parking available too.

"A perfect little base for my hiking holiday in the Peak District."
Not a lot of storage space to unpack into, but very nicely kitted out with excellent quality appliances, dishes, furniture, etc., and a lot of local information supplied. Very convenient location, off the main road but near to shops, pubs and also trails. The owner was so kind and welcoming.

"Great place to stay to use as a base to explore the beautiful Castleton, and the surrounding area."
We only had one issue. We couldn't work the TV (Young people wont have a problem). But a quick phone call to the courteous owner soon fixed it. Lynn was there before I could end the call. A lovely lady with lots of useful local information. Would Highly recommend.

"Would highly recommend Foxgloves."
A great little annexe attached to the owner's home. The property is spotlessly clean and well thought out with everything you'll need for your stay. The owner has thought of everything and it has been very nicely done, very comfy bed, with even a washer and dryer provided (should you need it) and a little private area to sit outside (weather permitting) It is very central and a great bolt hole for exploring the Peak District with many places and attractions only a short drive away and plenty of walks nearby if that's what you're looking for. Whilst the excellent facilities provided mean you can cook if you prefer, it is only a couple of minutes walk from Castleton village where there's no shortage of places to eat and drink. I ate at The George one evening and would recommend, friendly staff and good food.
If you're planning a trip to this area, I would definitely recommend Foxgloves for your stay.
