  • "If you want peace and quiet this is the place for you."

    The cottage also has it’s own drive so no problem with parking. The cottage is well equipped and got everything you need for a comfortable stay. Be prepared to drive safely over the few pot holes on access road.

  • "Our week at Shepherd's Cottage simply flew by in an area which has so much to see within less than an hour's drive."

    Set in a glorious rural location, it offered us comfortable and spacious accommodation, with lots of character, which had everything we needed for an excellent holiday. The welcome pack was a nice touch and it was reassuring to know that the owner was nearby should we need anything. It was good to meet Sarah too, the personal touch does matter!

    ! We were lucky enough to be there when the swallows were nesting in the eaves and had a great relaxing holiday ,just looking at all the guests who return again and again speaks volumes for this property,we loved it!!

  • "Cottage was beautiful."

    Everything you could need was there. Flowers, eggs, milk and a drink left for us were a lovely surprise. Comfortable sofas, comfortable bed, large shower with plenty of hot water, wonderful views. Perfect location, really pretty, very quiet but near to all local attractions. Large garden with table, only downside was garden not secure so we had to keep our dog on a lead when we were outside. Nearest pub not dog friendly. Owner was so welcoming, came to say hello and goodbye.We wouldn't return due to the garden but we would highly recommend a stay here if you are happy with garden situation, it's a delightful cottage.

  • "The cottage has everything you need and is perfectly centrally located to visit the houses of The National Trust."

    Lovely owner willing to make your stay as positive as possible with easy connection. And if something goes wrong within the cottage, like heating, it is settled immidiately.

    Comfortably furnished and with every kitchen utensil we could possibly need. The kitchen was spacious and so were the bedrooms, the beds were comfy and so were the sofas in the living room. A bonus was having the garden, definitely a must have for smokers like myself! All in all we had a splendid week, visiting places such as the Victorian village, RAF Cosford. and the nearby museums.

Shepherd's Cottage is a traditional, semi-detached, brick-built Victorian farm cottage that stands in a rural location in the hamlet of Eudon Burnell, surrounded by the owner's 330-acre arable farm amongst the lovely Shropshire countryside.

This delightful holiday cottage is ideal for an all-year-round family holiday or for a couple wanting a quiet countryside retreat.

Offering inviting accommodation throughout, this cottage is made even more welcoming by the woodburning stove, perfect for relaxing in front of after a day exploring the Shropshire countryside.

The private, lawned garden is ideal for enjoying alfresco dining, or just sitting with a drink after a day exploring the many attractions of the area.

This cottage near Bridgnorth is on the Jack Mytton bridle path and close to a national cycle route, offering guests excellent walking and cycling opportunities from the doorstep.

There is also an excellent choice of fishing lakes in the immediate area around and the pretty market town of Bridgnorth is easily reached, boasting many individual shops, traditional pubs and excellent restaurants.

A little further afield is the famous medieval town of Ludlow, pretty Church Stretton, known as Little Switzerland, many National Trust properties and the Ironbridge Gorge World Heritage Site.

Shepherd's Cottage is a wonderful holiday destination for a memorable stay in the beautiful Shropshire countryside.

BRIDGNORTH

Much Wenlock 8 miles; Ironbridge 15 miles; Shrewsbury 20 miles; Ludlow 20 miles; Church Stretton 20 miles.

The market town of Bridgnorth lies in two very distinct halves - the High Town and the Low Town - separated by the red sandstone ridge on which the town is built. The two halves are connected by winding streets and flights of steps, or there is always the steep funicular railway, enabling the weary traveller to glimpse what Charles I called "the finest view in all my kingdom". A bustling Saturday street market provides an ample excuse to explore the town and examine the castle ruins, which lean at a greater angle than the Leaning Tower of Pisa! Flowing below is the River Severn, providing many pleasant riverside walks. The Severn Valley Railway runs between Bridgnorth and Kidderminster, and runs a variety of steam and diesel engines through picturesque country stations. In the areas surrounding Bridgnorth, there are a wealth of country parks, impressive houses, museums and picturesque Shropshire villages, as well as easy access to The Royal Air Force Museum at Cosford, and Ironbridge Gorge, with its 10 museums and striking landscape. The area offers excellent walking, and with the popular destinations of Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Church Stretton all within easy reach, it is ideal for a visit any time of the year.
