"A very comfortable and cosy place to stay."
We stayed as a family of four with kids aged 10 and 7, and it was just right for us. The cottage is decorated very nicely and perfectly equipped. There was always space to park on the main road next to the cottage. The location allowed us to make day trips to various attractions, including Chatsworth, Castleton and Alton Towers.

"The Warren is a stylish and comfortable cottage with a spacious feel in the quiet and scenic village of Middleton."
We didn't have time to check out the Nelson Arms, but no matter - The Rising Sun is a pleasant half mile stroll in the other direction, where we found good food and good beer at reasonable prices in a pleasant atmosphere. Another half a mile or so from here gets you to The Quarry cafe which offers a spacious air conditioned interior and a scenic and expansive - floor to ceiling - view out. Around a tenner gets you the tasty and filling soup & sandwich deal. Overall then I can certainly recommend both The Warren and Middleton itself as a great base to stay for a few days in the region.

"Stunning cottage."
Beautifully decorated & a very comfortable bed! One of the best sleeps we’ve had away from home.
Everything you could need for a holiday to this gorgeous village.
Lots of walks nearby, & places to visit. Great for our two dogs.
The Nelson’s Arms is an incredibly welcoming pub, great beer, & lots of dogs, unfortunately it doesn’t serve food, but there are plenty of places to get food in nearby towns.
Sadly, the weather was pretty rubbish, so we didn’t get much of a chance to sit outside on the patio.
Overall, an extremely enjoyable stay, & we hope to return sometime soon.

Perfect location to get to all major attractions and the locals were super welcoming, we even had freshly laid eggs of the local farmer who saw us walking our dog, host was superb, cannot say enough nice things about The Warren.

"Had a wonderful stay at the Warren."
The photo's don't do it justice, it has been renovated to a excellent standard and great use of space.
Everything is spotless, and all the furnishings, beds and linen are high quality. Very well equipped with everything you need if you want to self cater, great to have a dish washer and gorgeous wood burner.
Set in a small village with two welcoming pubs, lots to visit locally in the peak district.
Very dog friendly area, weather not great but found plenty to do and see.

"The cottage was absolutely gorgeous - modern (although features from the original cottage retained), super comfy & immaculate."
The bedrooms were spacious & light. Furnishings throughout were beautiful. You can tell a lot of love, attention & detail went into the creation of the finished cottage. It had a beautique feel all the way through. The cottage had everything you needed.
The log fire made for a special cosy stay.
Thank you so much.

No shop in the village but two pubs, the Rising Sun does a huge Sunday lunch and the staff are very welcoming.
Walks in abundance in the area and interesting places to visit,Jake ,the dog and I walked miles, will definitely visit again.

It was situated in a village with 2 nice pubs and 5 mins by car from a small town nearby. For shops etc and the property had all the facilities you need for a pleasant and comfortable stay along with its own garden to sit out in on sunny days . Also in a quiet and peaceful position. There is parking all alone the road nearby and always a free space. Plenty hot water, also wifi etc . Yes we really enjoyed the cottage and may return in the future highly recommended by us lastly like to thank the owners for providing a lovely base to explore Derbyshire from

"A quirky small cottage in a great location for seeing all that The dales have to offer."
The bed was very comfortable and the property is over three floors. Do not stay here if steep steps are a problem.
I will happily return again and again.
Parking is on the street outside the property and there were no issues with Neighbours or road noise. Thoroughly recommended

"The cottage was stunning."
Although small it felt bigger then on photos and had plenty of space. The finish, appliances, clever details, comfort, soft towels, cake etc on arrival were fabulous. Lovely furnishings, comfortable beds, great log burner. It was quiet. Really good location for touristy things. We would love to go back!
