  • "Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, well equipped cottage."

Fabulous location, plenty of facilities within walking distance of house. Lots of quirky ornaments & pictures around the cottage. Cosy & warm with constant hot water. Our only negatives were that the towels were rather small & thin and the large enclosed dog friendly garden was not straight off the property. So to let the dogs out for a quick wee In the morning & at bedtime was a walk on the lead. But everything else was absolutely perfect.

  • "We've thoroughly enjoyed our stay in your lovely cottage, very well maintained."

Lots of beautiful touches, we have been very comfy - truly a home from home. We've been blessed with beautiful weather so able to make use of the decking area. The George serves delicious food & very welcoming. We will definitely return, thanks Dan. Xx

  • "A lovely cottage to stay in, very warm and comfortable with the use of extensive facilities."

Only thing that could be better was the bedding, duvet & covers covers not to the same standard as the rest the property. In general very clean, except one or two areas - dining table cover hadn't been wiped clean. Good area to access the Peak District.

  • "Lots of excellent details, we enjoyed the jigsaws and TV package."

Extremely clean and welcoming. Position of the TV screen and seating wasn’t comfortable for 4 adults . Tideswell is excellent location for the cycling and walking we enjoy and the pubs and shops were perfect. This was an excellent location and we were blessed with mainly dry weather and had a wonderful time, thank you.

  • "Lovely cottage in a nice village, beautiful walks in the Tideswell dale and Monsal trail on the door step."

The cottage was a little smaller than we expected from the photo's. But the presentation , unusual ornaments and soft furnishing with wonderful comfy beds made up for this. Dan kept in touch to ensure we had a great time and all of the Neighbours were all really friendly We would definitely recommend Sunshine cottage to all our family and friends, Great holiday had by all .

  • "We had a very comfortable stay in this newly-decorated holiday home, and would happily recommend this home to other travellers."

The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms were well-finished, the lounge was very inviting, and there were lots of nice touches here and there. Liaison with the owner was easy, and the neighbours were very friendly and even put the bin out for us on bin day! The town has everything you need, and is well-situated for day trips to other locations within the Peak District. We would very happily stay here again!

Tideswell is a beautiful place with a wonderful bakery, some great cafes and a very useful co-op. It’s easy to get to walks from Tideswell and it’s close to bakewell, Buxton and chatsworth house. I highly recommend this cottage.

  • "Sunshine Cottage is an immaculate property, refurbished to a very high spec."

We had some bad weather during our stay, so it was great to be able to return to a warm, comfortable house at the end of a rain filled day. Good location and within walking distance of 3 pubs serving food.

  • "Everything was amazing and we were really impressed with all aspects of the cottage and booking."

We couldn’t have asked for more. The cottage was immaculate, well equipped and the little touches and decor made it very cosy. There was a lovely private decking area at the back of the cottage where you could relax with a coffee/beer in sun. You can really see the effort that was put in to making the cottage a perfect getaway and home from home. Great location for hikes in the area, with only a short drive to most. The village itself was quaint and had all the amenities you would need - pub, supermarket etc. The owner (Dan) was friendly and welcoming and was quick to respond to any queries. I would definitely recommend and we hope to return soon!

  • "We really enjoyed our stay at sunshine cottage, it was in a nice village with a pretty high street with a nice bakery and a co op a few mins walk from property, also a lovely park nr to house or children under 10yrs and a pub a few mins away."

Nice central location for getting around the peak district area. The house itself was spotlessly clean, felt fresh and nicely decorated, it was nice to have toilet rolls, kitchen roll , dishwasher tabs, tinfoil, hand soap, bin bags, washing up liquid , tea bags, washing powder, all these things you often forget about and only need a little off when you are on holiday, lots of lovely fresh towels and fresh clean bedding. Beds were comfortable. Spoke to the owner several times and he was a very nice man to liaise with, we were able to access the property easily and checkout easily. We were also offered an early check in as the property was previously empty before we arrived, we could not get a later check out becase of the Covid extra time needed between rentals for extra cleaning, none of this was an issue for us anyway. Everything was just perfect for a pleasant stay.
