  • "Beautiful looking property with a good interior layout."

    It had all the listed facilities and plenty of parking and garden space for our dog. Our hosts provided a selection of snacks, tea/coffee and milk. Loved the property. However, the interior could benefit from a freshen up as it is looking a bit tired. Also a Guest Information Pack would have been really helpful in finding local eateries and attractions. All mattress's were so worn that my partner could feel the bed base when in bed. I ended up sleeping in the spare twin room so that he could spread out on the double bed but still not a great sleep for him. The shower mat and silicon was mouldy and we had to be very careful with the shower door as it would come off its runners. I also found a used woman's swimming costume under the single bed whilst looking for an item I had dropped. I think it had been there a while as it was dry and was unwashed so I put it in the bin (not nice to find!)

We haven't had any complaints regarding the furniture or decor in Stable Cottage,as everything is in keeping with the type of cottage property it is.As for the double bed,it is a standard 4ft 6" double,I actually lived in the cottage for 6 months myself last year and found the matress to be extremely comfortable However,that being said,what is comfy for some individuals may be uncomfortable for others. It would be extremely difficult to cater for what is comfortable for every individual guest that stays.We hope you enjoyed visiting Pembrokeshire & look forward to welcoming again.   • "A peaceful location, despite the farm setting, and everyone's over-reliance on cars."

    Views not the best - looking onto a car park both front and back (which is scruffy, though you can see some trees as well!), but quiet, barring an occasional passing tractor and adjacent cottage's inhabitants hogging the outside spaces. Not the most comfortable or luxurious accommodation (though still pretty pricy in August), but what's provided is generally of a decent quality, and functional. And the host was helpful and completely non-intrusive. What's relatively bad is the listing, and I'm not sure who's to blame. There was no "basin" in the double bedroom; there was no radio or DVD player; the "selection of books, games and DVDs" was 2 books, 1 game and 0 DVDs; there was no mention of the large porch / laundry room; the bedrooms were sparsely and functionally, rather than "delightfully" or "exquisitely", furnished. The electric cooker, though thankfully as described, was quite temperamental, as far as boiling rings were concerned - these need a bit of attention. There were quite a few snacks and drinks left out for visitors, although vegans are almost never catered for by any owner, so we unfiotunately couldn't partake! On the whole, though, we had a pleasant break. Though overpriced in August for what you get, the owner does drop prices sharply in September, and if we'd been able to pay for a week then, it would have been churlish to list any niggles (such as they are) whatsoever.

  • "A small, sweet property, which was ideal for our needs."

    Ideally situated for the exploration of the wonderful beaches of the area, that we visited as children. Sarah our host, very generously left, coffee, milk and little treats. The accommodation, more than adequately served our needs, it’s a little gem.
