  • "Nice surroundings, but basic accommodation, toaster didn't work properly and heater in bathroom didn't work, could be made more comfortable i."

E new pillows and cushions would help.

  • "Please note that this review is for lodge 7."

We booked lodge 6 but were placed in 7 as 6 was already occupied. The owner warned us that a kitchen cabinet door in lodge 7 had been dislodged by the vibrations from the washing machine but would be replaced soon. Positives - beds and pillows very comfy, lodge was spacious, the owner resolved a signal issue with the tv very quickly, the site is very peaceful, lovely view over the fishing lake. Negatives - microwave was filthy and smelly, full of condensation with fresh food splattered all over the inside; bathroom light cord needs replacing (not sure why there was 4 inches of tin foil wrapped around the end that you hold); the headboard fixings of main bed are broken so the headboard constantly sits on the skew; seal of fridge is black/ full of crumbs; inside of freezer needed cleaning; toaster was grimy; when I stripped the main bed before leaving there was a stained white sheet underneath; sofa covers stained and only partially covered the sofas underneath. It would be helpful to provide a bath mat to prevent floor getting wet when stepping out of shower. Washing up liquid was provided but no clean cloths or sponges. We stayed for 5 nights but would not return.

  • "We had a lovely stay at Lodge 6, Bron Eifion."

Such a beautiful setting, so peaceful overlooking the fishing lake. It was wonderful to make the acquaintance of Bob the cockerel as well! Such a handsome confident fellow, we hope he makes new girlfriends soon! The lodge was suitably equipped for a simple self catering holiday for 4. Very comfy beds, wonderful hot shower. The lady owner was very friendly and helpful, helped us work out the TV and also lent us a tea towel and hand towels, so kind! Please note, remember to bring your own towels! My mistake and misunderstanding. All bed linen is provided. We had such a lovely holiday we plan to return next year.
