The property

Set in historic borough of Kirriemuir in Angus, Hazel Cottage is a beautifully restored contemporary cottage with stylish interiors and spacious rooms, making it an ideal holiday home for couples or groups of four wanting to experience a true Scottish getaway.

As you step into the property from the quaint front garden area and make your way to the bright and welcoming sitting room, take a seat on sofa with friends and discuss your plans for the day.

If you’re planning for a quiet night in, flick on the TV and select a movie from the shelf before making yourself comfortable.

If an action-packed day is on the agenda, why not rustle up some tasty treats in the fully-equipped kitchen for food on the go, or for those who have more time to spare in the mornings why not enjoy a hearty breakfast at the dining table, before heading out to explore the local area.

If you're travelling with a toddler or pet, this enclosed back garden is a great place to let them run wild, as well as containing a shed which can be used to store bikes safely.

As you head back through the property and up the stairs you will find two stylish double bedrooms, one of which is a king-size, perfect for escaping all the excitement of the day and taking some time out to yourself.

Refresh and rejuvenate with a nice long shower in the contemporary bathroom complete with a WC and hand basin.

Make the most of warmer days with drinks on the patio or grabbing a bite on the outdoor table and chairs, or alternatively, the lovely sandy beaches of the East coast are just over half an hour's drive away.

Whilst out and about exploring the local area, why not grab a drink in one of the local pubs, or venture further afield to Forfar and dine in one of their many local eateries.

Home to the famous writer, J M Barrie, Kirriemuir is not short of Peter Pan references, including the famous Peter Pan statue and the Peter Pan Park complete with a Neverland play park for children.

Another famous legend Kirriemuir is proud of, is ACDC's Bon Scott, with the Bonfest International Rock Festival attracting hundreds of visitors from all over the world, not to mention the Kirriemuir Festival of Music and Song.

Embrace the Scottish countryside with a walk in Glen Clova or delve into the history of the 15th century tower house of Inverquharity Castle, or hit the slopes at Glenshee Ski Centre - Scotland's largest ski resort, which is an hour's drive away.

If you’re an avid bird watcher, why not take a short drive to the RSPB Scotland Loch of Kinnordy to admire the 408 known bird species.
