"A lovely cottage, very conveniently located for the town and surrounding area and parking never a problem."
A rew improvements could be made such as:
Sorting radiators which can be noisy at times.
Maintaining plants at front of house which could look lovely.
Improving general area at the back of the property.
Providing a wheelie bin and updating information regarding use of this.
Improve the WiFi.
This said, we had a lovely stay and would book this cottage again.

"We found the property comfortable and relaxing."
Very clean. Convenient for the town, just a short walk away. A lovely cafe and deli shop there. A short drive away is Drummond Garden, worth a visit. Beautiful scenery and walks in the surrounding area.

"A very comfortable stay."
The beds are comfy too. Though on the road parking it was easy to find a space nearby
The only issue we had was the extremely poor WiFi signal, at some times of day it was unusable. There we mo known issues on EE at the time.
Other than that I'd recommend it as a place to stay and Crieff is lovely.

"We had a very pleasant stay at the cottage which is cosy and neat."
The beds are super comfy with good quality bedding which is important for us as it meant we had great, restful sleep.
The kitchen is well provided with everything needed to be able to cater at "home" if you wanted. However, there are lots of different restaurants and take away options in the town nearby and many within walking distance.
Parking is on street with plenty of nearby spaces.
Crieff is interesting as a jumping off point to explore that area of Scotland and we'd recommend the cottage where we hope to return some time.
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback on your stay. We are delighted you had a lovely visit.

"Greystones is a lovely cottage and is well furnished."
Cleanliness and general maintenance should be improved. There was a layer of dust on the lamps, the top of a baby bottle was left in a cupboard. The windows at the front are desperately in need of both cleaning and maintenance. The old broken bedroom window blind was left in the wardrobe.
We received a visit from the TV licensing folk advising that there was no TV licence for the property. Also, they have not complied with the Scottish Government legislation for holiday lets to have PAT testing of all electrical appliances.
Thanks for your feedback, we are glad you enjoyed your stay, Perthshire is beautiful at this time of year
We wanted to reassure you that a deep clean was scheduled and carried out last Friday when you checked out. We are lucky enough to have been very busy with guests over the Summer months, so it’s great to have the opportunity to get access and catch up on a few things now.
Greystones cottage is a listed building and therefore we are limited to what can be done with windows in particular. The windows are however on the maintenance scedule to be painted over the winter this year.
I understand that the blind in the bedroom was broken by a recent guest and the cleaner had placed it in the cupboard so a direct replacement could be sourced. This has now been ordered and will be fitted at the first opportunity.
I have checked the compliance issue you have mentioned with the relevent professionals and can reassure you that the existing PAT testing and all other certification is up to date and fully compliant with Scottish Short term licensing requirements All documentation is provided within the guestbook but if you had any concerns during your stay, the Sykes Guest Services number is provided and they are available 7 days a week to answer any questions you may have.
As you will appreciate, maintenance issues do crop up in holiday properties from time to time. Knowing this, we provide a comments book at the property where we encourage guests to provide any offline feedback on areas that would benefit from a little attention or suggestions for the future.
Greystones Cottage is a family run holiday cottage and we love spending time there as a family as well as sharing it with guests.
We are glad you enjoyed your stay and thank you for your feedback.

"This property is cold, damp a dirty."
The advertised 'open fire' is out of use with the chimney stuffed with newspapers.
The kitchen is greasy with dirty glasses and utencils.
Dampness and damp smell everywhere. Wi dows running with water/dampness all the time.
Grubby bathroom with black grime in shower area.
Broken blinds inside the wardrobe.
Dead bugs and dust behind beds.
Whole property would benefit from deep clean.
Baby's milky bottle top inside sittingroom cupboard.
Dead bugs and debris under sitting room furniture.
We are all very unwell due to staying in this horrendous property.
Dehumidifier units throughout the property so the owners are aware of the damp issue quite clearly.
We arrived Friday evening and Sykes Cottages were notified of concerns at 9.30am Saturday. Morning. We called Sykes again on Saturday afternoon but still no help. We finally received a call from Sykes on Sunday afternoon by which time we are all in bed ill.
This cottage has made my family very ill not to mention the loss of a week's holiday.
This is a DISGRACE!!!
We are sorry to hear you were disappointed with your stay. We were very concerned and have investigated the issues you have highlighted.
The property has gas central heating throughout, controlled by a thermostat in the hall and individual thermostats on the radiators, both of which can be adjusted to your comfort. Instructions for doing this are provided within the Guest Book on the living room.
I’m afraid the listing does not advertise that there is a working fireplace. The fireplace is decorative only and I believe it is fairly common practice to pack an unused chimney with newspaper. This is done to prevent drafts.
We have had a damp assessment carried out since your stay which was undertaken using damp detection instruments. We are reassured that there is no damp in the property. There is a small area of discolouration on the paintwork in one of the rooms which is historic and is scheduled for redecoration at the end of the booking season this year. We have not placed dehumidifiers throughout the property.
We have checked down the back of all the furniture that you moved and acknowledge that there is some dust but no evidence of any insect problem within the property.
The windows to the front of the property are Georgian small single paned and cannot be changed due to the historic listed nature of the building. Many older houses will have some level of condensation forming on bedroom windows first thing in the morning due to moisture from the breath of people sleeping in the room. This disappears quickly once people are moving around the house and air is circulating.
As you will see from our previous guest reviews, we are very proud of the positive feedback received from other guests, in particular relating to the cleanliness of the property. Despite this we have organised a deep clean this month where all the furniture will be moved and cleaned behind.
Thank you for your feedback. Its always helpful to get a range of perspectives.

"Lovely cottage with everything you need."
But, we requested a stair gate as had 2 toddlers. Yes, a stair gate was provided but it did not fit at the bottom or the top of the stairs, making it as useful as the proverbial chocolate fireguard!
Making our stay much less relaxing. Can I suggest retractable gates at the top AND bottom of the stairs which can remain in place and be used as required, widely available at Amazon or Argos. Also, the central heating would run quietly then would suddenly sound like a train running through the house for long periods of time. Otherwise all good
Thank you for your feedback about the stair gate. We will look into this.

"The cottage was fine."
The beds were comfy and it had a nice lounge to relax in. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessary equipment and appliances but the dining area was quite cramped.
We parked on the streets at either side of the cottage and was able to park quite near apart from once. There were a lot of notices about the place.
Crieff is near some stunning scenery with the trip to Pitlochry particularly lovely.

"The stay was good, however my car, which was correctly parked in the street and not blocking any drives, was interfered with on the last two nights of our stay."
Both door mirrors, which were parked folded in, were pulled open, the rear wiper was pulled from the screen, a tyre dust cap was removed and the tyre partially deflated. I checked the other nearby parked cars but none appeared to be interfered with. It appears that my car was targeted, possibly by someone thinking it shouldn't have been parked there.

"Greystones Cottage is very clean, cosy and well-equipped."
It's well located near shops, Crieff town centre and not far from other towns, walks etc.
We arrived in the dark and rain and had some difficulty finding the cottage and it was also tricky to find the back door with the key box.
But thankyou, we enjoyed our week and would recommend Greystones Cottage.

"Clean, comfortable, well-equipped cottage."
Quiet location with on-street parking nearby. A good base for exploring Crieff and the surrounding area. Although there was a small issue with the gas central heating during our stay, the owner was very attentive and prompt in their response to get things checked, and the problem was quickly resolved.
