  • "We have just left Lower Lodge after a week long stay over Christmas."

We have had the best time and didn't want to leave! The Lodge was absolutely amazing! The attention to detail was second to none and the lodge was literally spotless. The Lodge was beautifully decorated for Christmas which was a lovely addition to our stay. Mark came to say hello and introduce himself the day after we arrived which was lovely to chat to him and Lisa was nothing but helpful over the phone when I had a ton of questions prior to us arriving. The games room, play room for the kids, the hot tub and sauna were well equipped as was the Lodge over all. The views were to die for and we will miss waking up to them! We have absolutely no complaints at all! We would 100% recommend a stay at Lower Lodge and we would love to come back again! Thanks again Mark & Lisa! x

  • "The property was amazing and I would recommend this place to anybody!"

With absolutely no neighbors in site, it's a perfect private getaway with some exceptional views. I was pleasantly surprised by the technology within the house, which was better than the majority of houses I've stayed in, not something I expected for a house so isolated. The hosts seemed nice, Mark introduced himself on our 2nd day and with the exception of when he come around (pre-arranged) to cut the grass and maintain the hot tub, we were left to ourselves. All in all, very happy with the property and would recommend or go back without any hesitation!

We didn't think it was possible for Lower Lodge to be better than last time, but with the addition of the outside games room and all the other new additions (amazing TV, new carpets, curtains etc) it is even more lovely than before. We've had a fantastic week, and the couple of times we needed to contact Mark and Lisa they were so attentive we couldn't have wished for more. Thank you, we'll be back!

  • "A great stay in an excellent house."

We were a family of 6 adults and 2 children. Everything was clean and tidy when we arrived, and there were a reasonable number of pans, dishes etc for our use, although having experience of previous holiday homes I brought my own knife and extra-large glass dish (we cook a lot). We were glad of the mop provided to deal with the wet room floors and lobby to the hot tub, which all got very damp with use. The owner Mark was friendly and helpful. The facilties of the house made up for the fact that the February half term weather wasn't really on our side - only strong sleety winds drove us from the hot tub! On the better days we walked to Admiral Rodney's pillar and the Stiperstones (both with amazing views); we also visited a flooded Shrewsbury and Blists Hill museum (twice). The only downside for us was the lack of any public footpath or pavement to the property, which meant you had a short drive to the village, or to start a walk. But this was a minor quibble, and we'd certainly recommend both the house and its location to anyone.

It was well equipped in every way from the spacious 9 seater hot tub, sauna, all weather pool table to the indoor games room complete with x-box and family games. The owners have made this a most enjoyable experience with the extra touches they have added, fan's in the bedrooms should you be fortunate to have good weather and fluffy bathrobes in each room to enjoy the 'spa' facilities. The cake on arrival was most welcoming along with the music playing throughout the whole property. The lounge and games rooms were stunning and we wanted for nothing. This cottage exceeded our expectations in every way, and all of our group said that they are likely to return. !! Clean and very spacious although too be honest we didn’t really use the inside much as the weather was so good we took advantage of the lovely outdoor space. Can highly recommend a stay. The owners are wonderful (and so is the homemade lemon drizzle cake they leave for you when you arrive) and on hand to support if there are any problems... in our case extra gas for the fire pit! The fire pit is an excellent idea to continue the summers evening well in to the early hours of the next morning. The facilities are great, hot tub, pool table, table tennis table. Just make sure you take your BBQ with you otherwise it’s a dash to Asda before they sell out. Due to such great facilities, we didn’t leave the lodge from when we got there until the day we left! Great weather helped
