  • "We rarely return to holiday houses, but did go back to Sunny Corner as it was so good."

There is no traffic noise, easy parking and lots of lovely shops etc a short walk away. The bungalow is very well equipped and the beds very comfy. In order to make it perfect it would need the uneven paving sorting out and some of the too-large shrubs removed from the garden. It would be better if there was a bath rather than just a shower, or ideally both. Will we return? Quite probably.

Lovely garden and very handy for bus and train services too. Plenty of cafes and pubs nearby ( Kings Arms and Berrys our favourites.) Also two pubs at Little Stretton worth a visit. Plenty of independent shops within walking distance also a well-stocked Co-op. An ideal location in a lovely area.

Every home comfort provided - even a piano, plenty of throws for both your comfort and your dogs. The welcome pack was very much appreciated so we could make a cuppa while drawing up a shopping list from the nearby Coop. Fab location for visits to Shrewsbury, Ludlow and Ironbridge but also a lovely village full of quirky gift shops, lovely coffee shops and pubs that all deserve a visit.

So quiet and peaceful. Always spotless. Just one one suggestion perhaps a note on the washing machine to clean drawer after use. Shrubs around washing line could do with being trimmed as washing gets tangled up in them but this would not stop us from returning,

We have asked the gardener to address the washing line shrubs ! Property Owner

Such a quiet cul de sac perfect only a few minutes walk to Church Stretton village and ideal for direct walks from the door Long Mynd etc. Pity the garden so overgrown now, very difficult trying to get through paths with overgrown bushes such a shame as could be so beautiful. I had difficulty finding my dogs, they did love mooching in it though, thankfully fully enclosed.

It’s a spacious cottage close to centre of Church Stretton and amenities all within walking distance. There’s so many walks straight from the cottage too many to list but Carding Mill Valley and Long Mynd is beautiful. Stiperstones equally worth a visit, walking boots and appropriate clothing recommended. You could have a holiday here without using the car. Everything is literally on the doorstep. My children likes castles and there a few in a short drive. Myself and 2 teenagers had a comfortable stay here for the week. The bungalow is clean with everything you would need. Everything was easy to use and in good working order. Beautiful view outside kitchen window.

Cosy and comfortable, well equipped and a relief that the garden was secure for our two dogs. Lots to see and do in the area. Plenty of information and maps left for your use, which is a rarity since Covid, We found them very useful. We would certainly recommend this property to others. Great deli with delicious products and Berry's for good breakfasts recommended in Church Stretton. The two pubs in Little Stretton were the best we found for eating out but be sure to book even midweek, as they are very popular. We did miss not having much in the way of outdoor lighting, especially by the back door where the steps are. Very dark when looking for our dogs last thing at night. But overall a very enjoyable stay.

I was a bit rusty at first but soon remembered which were the right keys and was able to knock out a good few tunes which made my stay at Sunny Corner all the more enjoyable.... even my kids were amazed at my prowness! Very comfortable accommodation and well positioned for local walks and shops. Only one very small gripe - the shower controls were a bit difficult to manoeuvre (OK to turn on but for some reason tricky to turn the handle to off position). But that was a very minor issue.

The valley and long mynd are very beautiful. It provides a really comfortable base and is wonderfully quiet. The garden is very full of large shrubs and we found the lack of a comfortable place to sit inside with a view a downside, especially as the weather for our week was very poor.

Thank you for your feedback. Unfortunately the design of the property is not something that has been possible to carry out major alterations to during its life as a holiday let. We are aware that the lovely wet summer has stimulated the growth in the garden - a factor slightly out of our control - given the short time available on Fridays to carry out all maintenance, cleaning and gardening tasks Property Owner

Sunny Corner is a very comfortable property which felt homely from the time we arrived. We sat down in the lounge and relaxed. For two exiled Salopians, returning after many years absence, it felt like coming home. The beds were comfortable and the bedrooms of a good size. We had a great time and hope to return for another week in the Spring. The only downside for me, was the different levels of the garden, which were not easy to negotiate for someone with mobility problems. Apart from that, it was excellent.

The plot is sloped and there are different levels and steps. However, some paths and walkways were obscured by overgrowth: Much better and safer access could easily be achieved by clipping back overgrown shrubs, bushes and plants. This would also provide better views across the valley from the house and garden.

The bungalow was quite simply lovely, I particularly liked the various pictures and ornaments. It didn't feel like a holiday let, more like someone's home. It was in a very quiet location but within easy walking distance to the shops, which were many and varied. We stay in three holiday lets per year and would not want to return to most of them, there are usually a number of irritations or niggles. Sunny Corner joins a select number that we would be happy to return to. Was it perfect? Not quite. I really think there should be an extractor fan in the bathroom. The paving in the garden is littered with trip hazards with a number of uneven or loose slabs, making it unsuitable for those with poor vision or limited mobility. The lack of top lights in the bedroom windows is a mistake, when you are sleeping in a bungalow you should be able to have more ventilation than just locking the big windows slightly ajar. These are fairly minor niggles compared with the many plus points.
