  • "Loved this cosy well equipped cottage!"

Perfectly placed for walking in the Shropshire Hills! 8 mins drive from Stiperstones and the Wild Moors! Shrewsbury was a lovely town with all the amenities you needed and had quite a few plant based or lots of vegetarian options to eat. Plus it all the beautiful architecture! Unfortunately the weather wasn't kind, but the Shropshire Hills and lovely little villages like Clun and Bishops Castle were a revelation and we will certainly be coming back!

  • "Lovely cottage only downside is the location."

To access nearby villages and further afield you have to negotiate a lot of very narrow, winding, single track lanes with some tight passing places. Also the local is only open on restricted hours.

Cottage was well equipped, clean and we really appreciated the homemade cake and biscuits. Enjoyed the walks in the Shropshire hills nearby.

  • "The cottage was lovely and the owners are lovely."

I had a problem due to my mobility and had a couple of problems, the double bed was very large and reached to the walls of the room. I couldn’t climb onto it, however the two single beds were very comfortable. Everything in the cottage was extremely comfortable and lovely and clean. I think if someone had a bit of mobility issues that should be mentioned as the steps going up to the cottage a couple of them were deep there is a rail to help. Also the stairs inside due to the turns gave me a bit of a problem, however the downstairs toilet made it easier than having to go up and down. It is a lovely cottage and well worth a visit handy for all the lovely places to visit, and thank you to the lovely owners of the property

  • "A well presented property with lovely views over fields."

For older visitors or those with older dogs be aware that there is a slope to the front door and steps at right angles. Inside, there are two short steps - one to the upstairs, and one into the bathroom which need care. The milk, fudge, wine, and cake were very welcome. The hot water could have been a tad warmer, but not a huge problem. If using satnav, we recommend not coming off the A49 for Stapleton but the North South route through Longden or Ratlinghope is less fraught.

  • "Where do I begin?"

The cottage filled our expectations, which for me is rare. If I won the lottery I would buy this place, its homely view is wonderful, to look out of the windows and see nature at its best. The beds, were so comfortable we all said the same. The fire was warm and cosy, not once were we cold. Everything was perfect and thank you to the owners for the kind touches, that made my Husbands birthday weekend one to remember. We will book again in the future. Pam Mike Richard and Lyn.

  • "Lovely place."

Nice welcome pack. Extra clean. Well appointed. In a great location for local visits. The local pub is a 2 minute walk but not open very long so eating out is a few miles journey. Host was keen to make sure all was good. Thanks.

  • "Thank you for allowing us to rent your beautiful home, and to bring our pets."

Such a gorgeous property and the little gifts you left were amazing! Especially the fudge. Unfortunately we do not eat cake but appreciate your efforts. We hope everything was as it should be upon our departure, we couldn’t find anything specific in regards to towels and bedding so left them folded in front of the washing machine, we hope that was the right thing to do. Such a beautiful part of England. Take care and all the very best to you and your family. Regards Allison and family x
