The property

Morpeth is a charming, traditional white‑washed cottage set right in the heart of the much‑loved Somerset village of Combe St Nicholas, with views across the church, village green and surrounding hills. Inside, the cottage is comfortably furnished and centrally heated throughout, offering a welcoming base for a relaxing stay.

The kitchen‑diner is comfortable and equipped with everything needed for a self‑catering stay, along with a good supply of crockery, cutlery and utensils.

Double doors open directly onto a small enclosed courtyard, furnished with a table and chairs — perfect for morning coffee or an evening drink.

There is also a ground‑floor cloakroom with WC, providing added convenience. The accommodation is arranged over three floors.

On the first floor, the double bedroom overlooks the village church, while a twin room enjoys views across the village green.

Also on this floor is a well‑appointed family bathroom, fitted with both a bath and a separate shower cubicle.

The second floor offers a further spacious twin bedroom, with lovely views over the village to the hills beyond.

All three bedrooms are attractively presented and well equipped, with bed linen and towels provided. Outside, there is parking for two cars at the front of the cottage, and one well‑behaved dog is welcome. Combe St Nicholas has a strong village feel, with the popular Green Dragon pub, a well‑stocked village shop and the church right opposite the cottage.

The nearby market town of Chard, just two miles away, offers a good range of independent shops and familiar high‑street stores, together with supermarkets, cafés, restaurants and leisure facilities.

On the edge of town, the much‑loved Barley Mow Farm Shop is a highlight, renowned for its excellent local produce, butcher’s counter, deli and café — a popular stop for stocking up on quality ingredients or enjoying breakfast or lunch. For days out, Forde Abbey and its beautiful gardens make a wonderful visit, while the Jurassic Coast is easily reached in around half an hour, including the seaside town of Lyme Regis and the renowned fossil‑hunting beaches at Charmouth. Morpeth is a characterful village cottage in a superb central location, ideal for exploring Somerset, Dorset and the stunning coastline beyond.
