"The Old Bakery at Crowcombe more than exceeded our expectations!"
A delightful and traditional cottage in a perfect village setting. The accommodation was spotlessly clean with all the home comforts we needed for a truly happy holiday. Crowcombe is nestled in the foothills of the Quantock Hills, ideal for walkers, ramblers and steam train enthusiasts. Cannot wait to return to this beautiful part of Somerset and to The Old Bakery in particular. Thank you to the owners, Jackie and Bruce, and to Sykes Holiday Cottages for an unforgettable holiday!!
Katherine thank you so much for your the lovely review you left for your stay in The Old Bakery.

"We had a wonderful time at The Old Bakery."
The cottage was charming and extremely well equipped. The weather was damp and chilly some days but inside we were very warm and cosy. Walking on The Quantocks so close by, was stunning and we had great trips out to the coast and Exmoor. Our hosts were extremely welcoming and helpful and I adored the miniature ponies in the paddock behind the property. A fantastic week for us and our dog. Thank you so much.
Hi Cathy,
We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in The Old Bakery.
This is great walking country and you certainly made full use of that.
The ponies are missing your grooming skills and carrots !
Best wishes,

"This is a lovely cottage."
Very cosy with everything you’ll need to have a comfortable stay. The beds especially are very comfortable which can make or break a holiday if you suffer with back or joint problems. A lovely terraced garden is ideal for dogs but is accessed by steep steps to not ideal for young children or the infirm.
The village itself is delightful with a village shop/post office and a pub. The area is beautiful and we were very lucky with good weather so took full advantage of walking our two dogs in the Quantocks every day. The views are breathtaking and we actually didn’t need to venture far as there are so many lovely and interesting walks within a 5 mile radius. Be aware there are sheep everywhere and also deer so we kept our dogs on long lines most of the time whilst walking.
Would definitely recommend this cottage and we hope to be back again soon.
