  • "Bungalow was clean and warm in a lovely quiet spot with very friendly neighbours who made us feel welcome."

We didn’t hear from or see the host at all which I’ve never had before but I’m sure we could have contacted them if we needed to. Some improvement work has recently been undertaken and although it’s still work in progress and the garden needs a gate, as it’s advertised as pet friendly, we would definitely stay there again. Needs a bit of modernisation such as carpets and a new window blind in the kitchen but that doesn’t affect stay at all and we thoroughly enjoyed it as it’s in a great location for Saundersfoot and surrounding areas.

  • "A lovely bungalow, good size rooms, but would have been nice to have been informed building works being undertaken within a foot of the property from 8am (or slightly earlier) daily."

We were lucky with the weather apart from mornings so only stayed in when we had to as the constant noise from next door (shouting, machinery, banging etc) was disappointing. The bedrooms felt damp, especially getting into bed, despite the good weather. Washing hadn't dried after being on drier for 3 days. No instructions for washer/dryer, oven, (oven knob was on kitchen floor when we arrived) dishwasher, tv etc and we couldn't work out how to use dryer ending up washing the same clothes twice trying to understand it before giving up. No instruction left re recycling, so we did as we would at home and hoped for the best. No recommendations for places to eat, visit, avoid etc or numbers for local doctors, vets, takeaways, supermarket deliveries etc which I have had before in all properties. Wifi code could be left in an obvious place rather than in the bottom of an empty wooden fruit bowl on a dresser in the dining room. Toilet brush disgusting. Toilet doesn't flush properly, needing 2 flushes before a sheet of paper goes down. Couldn't move shower head for taller guests. Frying pans either too heavy to lift or food gets stuck on them, despite having oil added prior to cooking, would recommend non stick pans. Kitchen tap splashes the room when you turn it on, (2 guest didn't have the strength to turn the tap on) needs attention. When the weather was nice it would have been nice to sit out in the evening but no garden furniture. The property is obviously old and needs refreshing (kitchen cupboard hinges rusty), kettle doesn't work properly (light doesn't come on when you switch it on, kitchen floor discoloured, carpets discoloured by radiators, but despite this we did enjoy our holiday apart from the few things above, this lovely bungalow has the potential to be a great holiday house.
