"There were only three points of interest."
1. a small area of mould between the shower tray and the wall. (I didn't look very closely. It might have been black paint)
2. We weren't too sure about any recycling going on in the area and where exactly we were supposed to leave our rubbish. In the end we decided to leave it in the lobby. We didn't want birds - or whatever else - to scatter it all over the place outside.
3. As there was not a sink in the loo - the door handle was a topic of 'conversation'.
Apart from these small items we really loved the place and the facilities on offer. The linen was superb and clean and soft. I was very impressed.
We took a small rib and comfortably parked it on the drive with two cars. Would we book it again - absolutely yes. No hesitation.

"A spacious, well designed and equipped bungalow."
Met our needs very well. Occasional road traffic noise in front rooms but not a significant problem.
Lamphey is well situated for access to many of the attractions of South Pembrokeshire.

"This is a very nice and comfortable property but has room for improvement."
If you intend to book you will have to take everything with you.
There wasn't even a spare toilet roll.
There are no recycling facilities so take black bags because there aren't any spares.
No hand wash basin in the toilet but the bathroom is next door.
No owner contact details. We found an ant infestation in the front bedroom, messaged Sykes but no reply of course.
The road through the village is quite busy and noisy.
Lovely views from the garden and some nice local walks.
Welcome pack of Welsh cakes, some tea, coffee and milk.
No local information eg contact numbers for doctor etc .
Overall we enjoyed our stay.

"An excellent, well-maintained and spacious property with everything that we needed for a comfortable stay, and a view across fields at the rear."
We appreciated the off-road parking too. Timaru is convenient for local amenities and within a short drive of so many stunning natural wonders and places of interest; we can recommend watching the sun set at Manorbier beach! The Bishops Palace ruin is a short walk away and makes for a pleasant evening stroll. The local pub serves good food with brilliant, personal service.
Our only minor criticism would be the lack of information on what to do with rubbish and recycling, otherwise a perfect stay blessed with superb weather.

"The property was very clean and offered everything we needed."
The kitchen was well-equipped for our needs and the wi-fi was excellent. The beds were also really comfortable. We soon settled in.
The location of the cottage was excellent for us for exploring the part of Pembrokeshire we wanted to visit and it was very quiet. The weather made all the difference to a perfect holiday.

"On arrival we were desperate to urinate and on lifting the toilet seat found faeces around the inner part of the rim, on the rubber feet and on the rim of the bowl."
We cleaned it as we needed to use it urgently. The toilet window had been left wide open so anyone could had got in. We then found that a lot of the towels had worrying stains. The next day we found the shower head was dirty (picture taken before cleaning) and there was mould around the sealing in the shower (pictures taken). Before leaving we noticed there was dried faeces around the outside of the toilet bowl (picture taken). We also found other problems - low shower pressure, heaters not working, dirty cutlery and window sills behind the blinds.
The cleanliness was really disappointing as there was so much that was really nice. A really thorough clean and the rating would be 4*

"Timaru is a lovely cottage with plenty of light flooding in through the windows - important to me."
It's nicely situated for many places of interest in south Pembs. My only slight reservation was that there was no information on the locality and the other usual things, but this was of no consequence to me personally as I know the area better than most.
A great stay

"Excellent location although some minor road noise."
Good sized and well equipped. Some minor cleanliness issues.
Hi, thanks for your comments. I have passed on your comments about cleanliness to my cleaning company - apologies for that. There have been some road closures recently over the last few months that may have increased traffic due to diversions, normally it is a quiet village. Thanks again, this helps me improve going forward. Timaru.

"Nice accommodation and very clean and tidy."
Electric storage heating either have little heat or too much but eventually got the hang of it. Only comments to make are- 1. Absolutely no information in the property either about the property or the local area i.e. local bus and train services and emergency telephone numbers. 2. Nice welcome pack but other than that no real supplies. Just one toilet roll and one black rubbish sack so you need to bring absolutely everything you may need. Other properties we have rented had a few bits and pieces like kitchen rolls, cling film and silve foil that’s just helps with your stay.
Thank you for your comments. I will check the local information leaflets and see that they are replenished, thanks for raising this. I have contacted my cleaning service to leave additional toilet rolls - on checking with them about the black rubbish sack there should have been one underneath the bag in the kitchen (I appreciate this may not have been an obvious location!) Thanks again for you comments
