  Lovely, friendly hosts keen to make visitors welcome. A secluded property high in the hills with glorious mountain views. Within easy reach of both Abergavenny and Crickhowell. Superb base for those who enjoy walking - or shopping with lots of independent shops.

  We'll equipped and exceptionally clean cottage. Unfortunately the field that was usually available for dog run was occupied by sheep. A fenced area for dog would be helpful and appreciated when sheep are in occupation.. That said we enjoyed a very pleasant stay at the Coach House and wouldn't hesitate to recommend staying there.

• "Stunning views and friendly owners with a superb separate field for the dog to leap around in!"

  It was clean and well equipped with a washer dryer and dishwasher as well as a lovely open fire. A peaceful location and highly recommended. We had a relaxing time visiting Gilwern (Corn exchange highly recommended for a drink and local chat) and Crickhowell and climbed Sugarloaf and Pen Y Fan too. Thank you for a lovely stay!

  The cottage had been tastefully converted without losing it's history and was a most pleasant place to stay. Our dog was made most welcome and there was even a huge secure field just opposite the cottage where he could run free.

• "Thanks once again for letting us share your lovely property."

  This was our second visit and I wouldn't be surprised if we come back again very soon. The cottage itself, set in your private and extensive gardens, is ideally placed to explore this area of the Brecon Beacons; or just sit and relax with just the sound of birdsong or the bleating of the lambs to disturb the peace and quiet. Three generations of our family thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from start to finish

• "What an absolute gem of a property."

  Everything you could possibly want. Beautiful grounds and views. Cottage was very clean Warm and cosy, beds were so warm and comfy, complete with electric blankets.. We were lucky to be there when the baby lambs were in the fields surrounding us. Joy watching them. If you are looking for a relaxed holiday, we highly recommend The Coach house. Our host Nicola, was so welcoming and helpful, while not intrusive. We loved it as did our dog. Definitely another visit on the cards.

• "The Coach House is flawless, a true gem."

  Nestled in a lovely Welsh valley with stunning peaks all around, the cottage is on a secluded, stunning estate. When needed, Nicola is a 2 minute walk away, but the cottage itself is extremely private. The interior is lovely, the fireplace extremely cozy, and it's stocked with all the amenities you could want during a holiday. There's ample parking for several cars, and the gardens are amazing for a dog. The views from the area are spectacular, and the stars at night are incredible. The WiFi is fast, too. It was perfect.

• "I thought that the Coach House was one of the best cottages that we have rented, noting that for many years, we have rented four or more cottages each year (in different locations)."

  The Coach House was spacious, easily accommodating my wife and I, and would have provided roomy accommodation for four. I note that an ample supply of crockery and cutlery was provided, which meant that it was not necessary to run the dishwasher after every meal. Some of the properties we have rented provided so little crockery and/or cutlery that, even with just two of us, it was necessary to run the dishwasher after almost every meal. The wi-fi was good. The property is well situated for walking in the Brecon Beacons.

  beautiful setting, lovely outlook and close to the fabulous canal for miles of gentle walking on the flat. Nice towns nearby and convenience shops within 5 minutes. Comfy and homely where you can relax and enjoy the holiday home without being inhibited. Wonderful hosting- so friendly- could not wish for kinder, more attentive people.

  Owners very friendly and helpful. Intend to come back and would certainly recommend this property. Only thing I would suggest is to change the old energy light bulbs with LED ones which give much brighter light. The low light did make evening reading difficult.

  The outside space allotted to the Coachhouse is not fenced at all so if you're taking a dog you should be aware of that. Unless your dog will stay close when let out it could be a problem. Nicola is a wonderful host, available if needed and very helpful.

  The owner was helpful and within reach if we needed anything, but quietly in the background so as not to disturb us. The property is set in beautiful grounds in a peaceful area and allows easy access to the surrounding areas. It is warm and well equipped and very spacious and all of that makes for a comfortable stay. Once again thanks go to Nicola for a lovely base for our holiday in the Brecon Beacons national park.

  Comfortable, cosy, warm cottage. Comfy beds. Kitchen equipment more than adequate for our personal needs. Great central place for exploring the area, and numerous small shops around (also big Waitrose) to top up supplies, including coal, logs for fire. Would definitely consider returning for another stay, and to further explore the Beacons.

  Very spacious, clean house, with a simplistic, rustic feel, the interior was true to its exterior. We didn't want to leave! The location was ideal, had a feel of being in the middle of nowhere, (with wonderful views), but within a short drive, you were close to shops and the roads needed for further adventures! The owners were helpful and welcoming! Couldn't recommend this place enough!! We will definitely be back!

• "This is a gem of a property that ticked all the boxes for us."

  It was private, quiet, in a perfect location, clean and very comfortable. This property is situated to the rear of the owner's lovely Georgian Manor House, but tucked away with sufficient parking for a couple of cars and has direct access to a patio and large garden which is screened from the main house by mature hedges and trees. Inside it is equipped with everything you could wish to have. The large open fireplace gives out plenty of heat and we were provided with a generous basket of logs which kept us going for a few days. The property is also very well centrally heated and you can control the temperature and timing of the heating to suit your needs. The large skylight windows in the bedrooms afford a great vewing of the night sky and stars on clear nights. Wi Fi signal was good, if you can't bear to be without your 'tablet' or 'smart phone'. The beds were very comfortable and we loved the absolute peace and quiet of the Coach House. Direct access to the Brecon Canal is only a 5 mins walk from the Coach House and we happily followed the tow path to llangattock on route to Crickhowell. The local shop and pub is just 10 mins walk away but is a steep walk back-up the hill, but nothing too strenuous . There is lots to do in this area. We will definitely be planning to come back to the Coach House next year.

  We were not able to just let the dog out in the garden alone on the mornings, all 3 sofas in the lounge were most uncomfortable we would recommend. They are all changed . No one had a comfortable evening whilst sitting shutting or watching to. The beds however were very comfortable and the master bedroom was very spacious with the lovely veranda offering beautiful scenery / sunsets along with the powerful shower in a reasonably sized cubicle was wonderful.
