"Shelia and how were lovely they welcomed us when we arrived and said if we needed anything just to knock their dog Bobby was great she said goodbye to us every morning and we were going out and welcomed us home when we came back."
The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and was very comfortable inside it had a patio just outside the door and a washing line to hung out cloths. As it was on a farm there were plenty of places to walk. There are lots of places to visit in the area. The dam was spectacular and the views around it were amazing. We also visited new Quay (the one in wales) and saw the dolphins in the harbour and out at sea. There were so many places that a week wasn't long enough so we definitely go back again for the area and the cottage.

"From the moment we stepped foot into the cottage, it was evident that this would be more than just a holiday getaway; it was a delightful escape into a realm of tranquillity and warm hospitality."
Tucked away in a picturesque location promising both serenity and rustic charm, this cottage proved to be the perfect blend of homeliness and luxury.
The hosts, a truly delightful couple, welcomed us with open arms and genuine smiles, setting the tone for what was to be an unforgettable stay. Their attention to detail and sincere concern for their guests' comfort was apparent from the outset. We were greeted with a freshly baked loaf of bread and a bottle of exquisite wine, gestures that made us feel not just welcomed, but truly cherished.
The cottage itself exudes charm and character, with cosy furnishings that beckon you to relax and unwind. The interiors are tastefully adorned, blending rustic allure with modern conveniences, ensuring every comfort is catered to. The rooms are spacious and impeccably kept, boasting large, sumptuous beds and windows that frame the stunning views surrounding the property.
Outside, the cottage grounds are equally inviting. Whether it's lounging in the garden, a meticulously tended space that invites you to revel in the soothing sounds of nature, or exploring the nearby countryside, there is an undeniable sense of peace and tranquillity that envelops you.
Throughout our stay, the hosts were incredibly attentive, offering insights into local attractions and the dining spots, ensuring we experienced the best the area had to offer. Their hospitality was not just professional; it was deeply personal and heartfelt, making us feel like cherished friends.
Alas, as with all good things, our holiday had to come to an end, and bidding farewell was no easy task. The hardest part of our stay was undoubtedly having to leave behind such a charming retreat and the wonderful hosts who made our visit nothing short of exceptional.
For those seeking a getaway that seamlessly blends the comforts of home with the luxury of a holiday retreat, Crud-y-Barcud is unrivalled. We departed not only with cherished memories but also with a longing to return. Highly recommended for a truly special and rejuvenating holiday experience!

A lovely welcome and the nice touches were much appreciated. Warm, cozy and all we needed right there. Comfortable beds and views from our windows just so beautiful. Nice to catch up with Sheila and Huw who were very kind in sharing their farm...loved the lambing sheds and watching feeding time in the fields...but also themselves in chatting with us and making sure we were set up with all we needed. Would really like to revisit soon as we could not ask for a more relaxed happy stay. Thank you.

"Fabulous location and cottage."
Had everything we needed hosts were very accommodating and friendly and went over and above for our little boy:
Peaceful location with the river on your doorstep. It was bigger than I was expecting which was a nice surprise and therefore was bread and wine waiting for us which was lovely.
It wouldn’t stop us coming back but I did feel it could have been a little cleaner. I understand it’s a farmhouse on a farm so there’s bound to be evidence of that in terms of cobwebs and spiders but I did feel there could of been slightly more effort into cleaning some of them away.
Thanks for having us Sheila and Hugh we would love to come back some day and Our boy did not want to leave.

"The cottage was exactly what he had hoped for."
It was cosy, felt like home for the week and in a beautiful location. It is a lovely farm cottage with pretty features. Having the river a stone's throw away down the track was perfect for the kids.
The short drive from the main road was lovely and just the kind of roads I enjoy driving. Myself and my partner both managed to enjoy a run from the property, taking in some of the beautiful scenery.
It was the ideal base for our week of adventures to Tenby, St David's and New Quay, as well as the Brecon Beacons. We would happily stay here again.

"We did not realise that we were going to stay with Huw and Sheila until just the day before and were very please when we knew because we have been friends for a number of years now."
It was the location that decided where we stayed because we were having extensive building works done on our house and could not be at home whilst the it was done. Hence the cottage as our temporary home.
Excellent property and facilities and Huw and Sheila had no control over the sub-zero temperature we had across Mid Wales at the time!
