1 Customer Review

  • "Firstly, we would like to express our appreciation for the property itself."

It is located in a truly stunning setting and was presented in an extremely clean and tidy condition. All guests were very happy with the overall standard of the home, and it is clear that a lot of care has gone into maintaining the space. If we had to pick a flaw with the property itself it would be only having the one bathroom although we managed to work around it. We were unfortunately left very disappointed by the hot tub experience, which was a primary reason for choosing this property and for which we paid more compared to property’s without one. Upon arrival, we began to fill the Hot tub as stated, however, we were told that fire-starting equipment and logs would be provided, but none were available when we arrived. As a result, we had to purchase our own supply of specially dried wood and kindling, incurring a cost of around £30. The hot tub took nearly two full days to heat, during what was only a three-day stay. This significantly limited our ability to enjoy the feature and was a major disappointment for the group, as the hot tub was a key factor in booking this particular property. We also encountered an issue with the neighbouring block of flats, whose windows overlook the outdoor area. We received a letter through the door during our stay stating that the smoke from the hot tub was causing problems for the residents. A similar letter was already included in the property’s welcome book, indicating this is an ongoing issue. This made our group feel uncomfortable and discouraged us from making full use of the outdoor space. We did our best to minimise the time we spent heating the hot tub, but due to the slow heating process, this was difficult to manage. This situation impacted the overall atmosphere of our weekend, forcing us to spend more time away from the property rather than enjoying the advertised amenities. It felt as though the hot tub—an advertised premium feature—was not only unusable for the majority of our stay but also inadvertently caused tension with the local community which made us feel guilty for attempting to use a service we had paid for in good faith. While we were very pleased with many aspects of the property, the hot tub experience cast a shadow over the trip. We would not recommend this property to others seeking a hot tub-focused getaway, as we believe the experience did not meet reasonable expectations given the additional cost and prominence of this feature in the property’s listing. We hope this feedback is helpful and will be taken into account for future guests. If the hot tub was to be upgraded we would be back in a heart beat!
