"Absolutely stunning location."
The barn was beautiful, pristine and well equipped. Marina is the loveliest person you could meet and nothing was too much trouble. The setting is idyllic, you walk out the door and are greeted by beautiful donkeys in the field, who come over to you for their carrots and apples. There is a menagerie of other animals too, not forgetting Snoopy the lamb, who we got to bottle feed. We don’t normally return to places we’ve already been but we will definitely make an exception for Penrhiwarwydd Farm. Thank you Marina and family, it was the perfect setting for a relaxing, peaceful break.
Thank you for your wonderful comments in feedback . We are so pleased you and your lovely family enjoyed your stay with us.we most certainly will keep a welcome in hillside and look forward to seeing you all again.kind regards Marina

"This is a particularly lovely barn on a farm up a welsh mountain."
Hosts are fabulous. The animals were happy to greet us too.
Despite the range of animals beside us, we slept well and woke up to a quiet farmyard. Views of the countryside are fantastic.
5 adults were accommodated in 3 bedrooms with excellent facilities. We were made to feel very welcome.
There are two ways to approach the property - north and south. We would recommend using the north.
Huge thanks to Marina and family
Thank you for your wonderful feedback.we look forward to welcoming you back again

"A little piece of heaven."
High in the hills. If you need to stay in this part of Wales(close to Newport,Cardiff or Caerphilly)Don’t hesitate to book this property. On arrival we were greeted with a chilled bottle of Prosecco and a well equipped kitchen.Kitted out to a high standard.Double doors lead to a large lounge dinning area with extremely comfortable settees and armchairs.Sky to and WiFi in the sitting room.A roll top bath shower and loo fill the bathroom on the first floor.Upstairs 3 very tastefully decorated bedrooms1 en-suite.The beds are extremely comfortable. This property has ample parking and although it is within the owners farm there is a private area with table and chairs to the rear of the property. The views from this property across the hills and down the valley are breathtakingly beautiful. If it’s peace and quiet and a good nights sleep you seek within close distance to the above cities, stay here. The owners are extremely friendly and there is a lovely friendly pub higher up the hill with reasonably priced food and drinks.Dont hesitate to book this property you won’t be disappointed.
Wow thank you for this wonderful feedback. So pleased you enjoyed your stay .Hope to see you again soon.

"We enjoyed our stay, and felt thoroughly at home."
The Barn is well laid out, kitchen well-equipped and convenient, and the living room beautifully furnished--and with lovely comfortable sofas ..
Very comfortable beds too, and great bathroom and shower!
The setting feels secluded, and the uninterrupted view over the valley spectacular . We enjoyed the presence in the field of turkeys, llamas, donkeys ,white peacocks-- and a racehorse.
The owner , Marina, couldn't have been kinder and went out of her way to make sure we settled in--she is a warm and generous host.
Thank you so very much for your kind comments. We look forward to welcoming you back

"An amazing Holiday cottage, situated on a working farm."
Perched on the top of the mountain above Cumfelinfach, with fantastic views over the valley and clear views across the Bristol Channel. Dawn and Martin are amazing host, with nothing too much trouble. The farm has a mix of animals that the children loved. Sheep, lambs, cattle, alpacas, horses and 7 friendly dogs. An absolute must for children.
The Barn is comfortable, well furnished and has everything you require to make your holiday a pleasure. A well fitted kitchen, with cooking facilities, fridge/freezer and fantastic views across the valley. Although slightly isolated on top of the mountain, it's only a short drive to the main roads and shopping facilities. The isolated position is a bonus with peace and fresh air. Highly recommended for a peaceful getaway. Dawn is an amazing host and a Saint with the work she does. We will certainly be going back to the barn for our future stays in South Wales.
Thank you very much for your wonderful comments on your stay.and for taking care of my lovely cottage leaving it as you found it.The pleasure was all ours to host to such a lovely family we hope to see you again soon Once again thank you ☺️

"The cottage is beautiful, modern farmhouse style."
The rooms are great size and the house was so cozy, especially for visiting in November. The waterbed in the main bedroom was very comfortable and warm with the heated option. My son loved seeing all the animals in the field in front of the property. The views around the house were amazing, looking right down the valley. A couple of tweaks would make this property 5 out of 5; oven gloves and an additional oven shelf as there was only one in the kitchen, basic essentials such as salt, pepper and oil in the kitchen. There was a lot of dust in the house and unfortunately we found dog dirt embedded in the rug in the living room, which had been there for a long time. The shower ran incredibly hot! We notified the owner who looked at it and it cooled it slightly but it was still a lot hotter than is comfortable and had to bathe my toddler in the bath to prevent any potential burns. Please note, there is also no WI-FI at the property even though it was listed in the property details.
We’re so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and thank you so much for looking after our lovely cottage and leaving it as you found it. We look forward to welcoming you back.
