"A lovely light and airy property, well placed for visiting Pembrokeshire coast line."
Good off road parking for 2 large cars at the front of the property.
Didn’t use it, but the laundry room is a nice touch to have.
All the bedroom are a good size with comfortable beds. There’s plenty of storage space for clothing items.
The kitchen diner is spectacular. Good size flat screen tv in lounge with Netflix and Sky channels available.
Internet connection was very good with 4 adults using it at the same time.
Rear garden was well designed, nice and peaceful with outdoor furniture and a bbq.

"We had a wonderful stay at the cottage!"
We were warmly welcomed with beautiful flowers, which we truly appreciated. The thoughtful touches such as tea, coffee, and delicious cakes were of excellent quality and made us feel right at home. The cottage was spotlessly clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and convenient laundry facilities. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience.

"Our family stay at Fresh Winds was just perfect."
The location was within easy reach of Tenby, Saundersfoot etc.
The house was the perfect family getaway, a large open plan kitchendiner, snug, with a table large enough to fit 8 people around.
The Cresselly Arms is a 20 minute walk with amazing food available from 'Feast' - attached to the Cresselly Arms.
We would highly reccommend a stay at Fresh Winds.

Spacious, beds so comfortable. Kitchen/ diner beautiful and had everything in it. Games cupboard for children and so much storage. The garden was great for my grandson and secure. We would have liked to stay longer. We shall definitely book again if in this area.

"Just returned after a great week staying at Fresh Winds, 3 adults and dog."
This is one of the nicest cottages we’ve stayed in. Great location, very quiet, very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The enclosed garden was perfectly safe for our dog. The previous comments about the downstairs shower baffled us as a quick adjustment of the right hand temperature control easily sorted this! (Unless of course it’s been changed). Just to note that dogs are not allowed upstairs, not a problem for us now but would have been a game changer previously.
It’s about a 20min drive to Tenby and around 1hr to St. David’s and Strumble head from here.
The closest place to eat is The Carew Inn and highly recommend (beware massive portions). Also a good fish and chip shop at Milton. Also beware there are few places to eat on a Sunday evening nearby!
Thank you for a lovely stay.

"We had a lovely stay at Freshwinds."
It was an excellent base to search out the local beaches and Stackpole Nature Reserve. Could have spent longer here. Coastline is exceptional. From your doorstep you can walk through to Carew Castle and just in West Williamson is a beautiful estuary, that we found on one of our morning walks, by chance. The house has everything you need to cook good meals everyday. There was nothing that I had to search for. Very well equipped. The owner had left milk, tea and cookies,
incase you have nothing when you arrive. Also food and treats for your dog. I had noted there was a low supply of T-towels, so came equipped!. There is washing up liquid and sponge , not sure about dishwasher tablets as didn't use it, and there was laundry liquid, however, we had brought our own.
The beds are super comfy, which is great after a long day walking, however, the seating could be improved. We tended to stay in the main kitchen/diner room as it was plenty big enough for us. The sofa just seemed a bit uncomfortable and needed side tables for tea etc. Made more sense to live in this room as there were ample plug sockets here and it is such a great, light airy room. The sitting room, for us, didn't feel homely but that could just be us. These are minor things and down to the individuals.
The main problem was we couldn't use the downstairs shower, as the water was boiling! There seemed to be no way to adjust this and it is so difficult to get to the taps. We did mention this and had noted back in Nov 24 that a previous occupant had mentioned this. It really needs attention and the overall design is poor. We had an issue with the fire alarm waking us up in the early hours however, Jacob was quick to respond and attended next morning. No more repercussions.
Saying the above, we had a really enjoyable, memorable stay and glad we stayed for 11 nights; fortnight would have been great. The location is beautiful; so peaceful and we also had very good weather. Fantastic holiday!

"It was always nice to come back to Freshwinds after a day exploring Pembrokeshire."
There's plenty of space, it's spotlessly clean and the beds are really comfortable. If you like peace and quiet while at the same time being close to all the places worth visiting, then you won't be disappointed.
We had a perfect stay.

"We had a good stay at Fresh Winds, just a few niggles."
A few more bits in the kitchen tongs, serving spoons, hand towels, not vastly important, also some side tables for coffee cups when relaxing in both rooms, again nothing major. We were plagued by house flies must be a seasonal thing. We left a note about a problem with the downstairs shower. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, and the tea, coffee milk and Welsh cakes were nice, and yes we would stay again. The pub just over the stone bridge, think it was called the Carew Arms was superb, great food and lots of it, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. A great area altogether to visit.

"We stayed at the cottage as a family of four, two children aged 9 and 11 and two dogs."
We were so impressed by it. It’s such a beautiful home and it’s immaculate. The kitchen had everything you need and very spacious. The Lounge was very cosy and comfortable. Beds were very comfy with amble pillows.
The garden was enclosed so we were able to let the dogs out without worrying about them getting out.
The location was perfect for us, we went to Heatherton, Oakwood Park and Tenby and all within 10-15 minute drive.
Would highly recommend.

"Overall we enjoyed our stay but there were a few issues."
We had to contact the owner on our first day as the heating was off and there were no instructions on how to work it, this really does need to be addressed going forward. We had to search for tea towels rather than have them readily available, they were a little flimsy too. There were a number of hanging cobwebs, especially around the velux windows. We live in the country too so know how quickly they can appear but these were large and had been there a while.
The lounge sofas could do with a few more cushions and I would question how comfortable this would be if six people were staying, there were two two-seater sofas and a chair so a bit tight!
Also non slip bath mats should be supplied.
Hi Linda, I’m glad you enjoyed your stay overall.
Thank you for your feedback, we have taken this onboard and will adjust accordingly.

"Beautiful house in a lovely rural setting."
Very well equipped throughout. The garden was the perfect size, and nice and secure for our dog, who also loved the doggy treats!
It's a great base for getting around, nothing was too far away. The Carew Inn is great for food, and Pembroke castle is a good day out, whatever your age!
Would have been useful to have some instructions on the heating, luckily the thermostat is the same as we have at home.Just a note on our personal experience , a bath mat for the downstairs shower would have been useful, my parents found it incredibly slippy and struggled getting in and out as the screen was fixed. These are minor comments and should take nothing away from what is a stunning property. Would be very happy to return.
