• "We enjoyed our week at 6 Willows Green."

  Some minor niggles include: 1. The first floor bedroom was made up as a twin room when we need a double - but we changed this ourselves. 2. The TV set up is not easy to use. 3. Same for the complicated heating. 4. Both front and back gardens look very neglected and are long overdue a tidy up. These points, while annoying, would not stop us returning to Willows Green.

• "We enjoyed our stay at this lovely property, however we did have a few issues on our first day as unfortunately the beds were made up incorrectly as twin beds when we actually wanted the superking."

  On Sykes' property description it had said to contact them only if twin beds were required (not the superking) which was obviously incorrect. We therefore phoned as soon as we arrived to sort it out, but as housekeeping were no longer working they sent a maintenance man round, who unfortunately, in a rush, dropped the only superking sheet that he had against his van making it dirty. After making the bed into a superking, he then spent just over an hour trying to contact Best of suffolk to locate a new sheet, but with no success. At this point we just wanted to get settled and unpack. So in the end we decided reluctantly to keep this sheet, as the only other option was to make the beds back into twins again until Monday morning, as the office was shut on Sunday. All this could have been avoided if the description had been correct in the first place. I notice the description has now been changed on the website, but there is still nowhere on the help section on Sykes' website to say how you want the beds to be made. When it was Best of Suffolk the booking form used to ask do you want twin or super king, so there was no confusion. Also on our first night we had a problem with the TV. The hdmi cable had been plugged in to the wrong socket on the TV, and so it did not recognise the humax input. Unfortunately we didn't discover this until the second night, so couldn't use it at all on our first evening. The notes for the TV were also relating to a Panasonic TV when it was actually a Samsung TV. We also found the beds on both floors very hard and uncomfortable, and would benefit from having proper toppers on them. Despite the above issues we really liked the house. The lounge was very comfortable and offered lovely views. Both bathrooms were excellent. It was also very useful to have a garage with an electric charging point. We also appreciated the welcome chocolate biscuits and wine.

• "We stayed at 6 Willows Green at the same time last year as my friend and I come to attend an art course in Aldeburgh."

  The property suits us well as we are able to have a bedroom and bathroom each on separate floors of the property. It is a lovely house and is tastefully furnished. Unfortunately it is looking a little tired, the bin in the bathroom on the top floor is still broken even though we reported it last year and the king-size bed on the first floor was presented as two singles so unfortunately yet again we had to contact you to have this sorted, last year we had to contact you as two large bin bags had been left in the hall. On both these occasions you responded promptly and things were resolved. The bed on the top floor is extremely hard a mattress topper is badly needed, also the carpet on one of the top stairs is not secure and as such could be dangerous. The outside areas also need attention. The most disappointing thing this year was to arrive at the property and find no welcome goodies this time, we were very disappointed, this is an expensive property nearly a thousand pounds for a three night stay and we both felt this was very mean of the owners not to provide anything! I doubt that we will be booking with you again unless you can assure us that you have relayed all our concerns to the owners and can guarantee that they have been rectified.

• "This was our 3rd visit to the property, the waste disposal outlet is “smelly”."

  Thank you for the welcome gift. House was spotless but left note for Shimmer & Shine - No toiletries in either bathroom Toilet paper really mean in all toilets, only 4 squares left in top bathroom even though it had been folded into a point. Coffee sachets 2 years out of date

• "We had a lovelly holiday in a great cottage!"

  Th e only minus for us are the beds; too small and too hard. But we would for sure book again with best of suffolk!

• "This is our 2nd stay at the property."

  Maintenance issues this time were, waste bin front not working, waste disposal not working, nasty smell from waste. Cleanliness issues, middle floor toilet unflushed and dirty, bin cupboard front dirty. There was a bowl of used coffee pods left on side but no fresh pods. ( note was left for cleaners) Toiletries were scant, only shampoo/conditioner available. No welcome treat even though previous occupiers have commented in visitor book. This did not spoil our stay, everything else was fine.

• "A few small items would improve this property namely 1."

  Poor collection of glassware most of which is 'milky' from lack of rinse aid and salt. 2.No soap/shampoo holders in the showers. 3 Not enough mugs for four people. 4.Waste bin holder needs adjusting. 5.Rationalise the TV controls

• "This property is in a fantastic location."

  It is warm, bright and comfortable and had been cleaned to a good standard. It does however need some TLC and general maintenance. The walls are showing wear and tear and the garden is neglected. Several of the down lights need the bulbs changing, the freezer needs defrosting and the dishwasher has no salt or rinse aid. There were only 5 mugs and no kitchen or bathroom cleaning products were available. Fortunately these were minor issues and did not spoil our overall enjoyment.

• "Generally great accommodation except for a few things; 1) 3 downlights not working in the kitchen/diner, need replacing 2) dining area chairs made a horrendous noise on the diner floor, need felt pads 3) downlight in sitting rooms flickering and had to be removed, needs replacing and lastly the TV instructions need amending to say that the cupboard door below the TV needs to be left open so the Humax controller will work."

  All pretty minor but they took the edge off what would have been a great stay

• "I asked for synthetic bedding (non feather) before our stay as I have asthma I have never had a problem with this request before from any other holiday company, I was told to bring my own bedding as this would not be possible On arrival there was a broken toilet seat , as well as a number of issues with the cleanses of the house."

  Considering the high rental price for a week in January I would not book this property again.
