"We were very disappointed on our approach to Chobbs Barn as some of the photos in the listing are totally different in reality."
The photo shows a beautifully manicured garden and pathway to the entrance of Chobbs Barn, in reality the path and is overgrown and the shed/workshop immediately outside the door is semi-derelict. Not a very good first impression.
The listing needs revising :-
Washing machine------There isn't a washing machine.
No pets---------------------- Pets are allowed, for anyone wanting a pet free.
accommodation this is very misleading.
Contact with the owner is very good, messages are replied immediately.
Our problem with the hand wash basin was dealt with very efficiently
Thanks
We had a lovely time in Suffolk but Cobbs Barn and surroundings need better maintenance which would then make it a super place to stay.
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
I am pleased to hear that you had a lovely time in Suffolk and that you found communication and the resolution of the basin issue to be helpful.
I am sorry that certain aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. The garden has evolved considerably since some of the listing photographs were taken and is now managed in a more natural, wildlife-friendly way, attracting a wide variety of birds, bees, butterflies, deer and rabbits which many guests greatly enjoy.
I would also like to clarify that we don’t accept dogs at Chobbs Barn and have not done so for some considerable time. Unfortunately, despite repeated requests, some outdated information remains on the booking listing which I have asked to be corrected. The same applies to the reference to a washing machine, which is not provided at the property.
Thank you again for your feedback. Guest comments are always appreciated and help ensure the information provided to future visitors is as accurate as possible.

"A beautiful cottage, well equipped and tastefully furnished."
Very tranquil location. It was lovely to see the visiting wildlife such as hares, muntjacs and squirrels as well as a multitude of garden birds. Chobbs Barn is well situated, with lots of nearby places of interest. We loved our visit to Flatford Mill in Constable country.
Aly is a most friendly and welcoming host. Thank you for the generous welcome gift.

"Had a lovely stay at Chobbs Barn and were able to explore Suffolk for the first time."
Property was decorated to a high standard and had everything we needed to make our stay very comfortable. The description said there was a washing machine but there wasn't, which was disappointing and the kitchen tap still needs descaling as it sprays everywhere, but otherwise it was a great stay. Have to mention the wildlife right outside the window. Never been so close to deer, pheasants and even a weasel. Really enjoyed watching them all.

It's in a great location for exploring Suffolk and is so peaceful too. It has every facility you could need and has the most comfortable bed we've ever slept in! The host is such a lovely, friendly lady who was there to greet us when we arrived. We had a fabulous time here.

"Lovely barn conversion, comfortable, well equipped and in a very peaceful location."
Great wild garden with lots of visiting wildlife to enjoy, birds, squirrels, rabbits etc. Our host. Aly, was very welcoming and left a very thoughtful welcome gift which we enjoyed! Great location for visiting Suffolk and Norfolk, we ran out of time to see all we would have liked to have seen so will return again next year. Would definitely recommend this property

"Everything was really lovely."
Beautiful barn conversion with great facilities inside. My only gripe is the kitchen tap being slightly unruly with its flow due to limescale build up so It sprayed out of the sink. Not really a complaint considering there is a good quality dish washer. Lovely garden with cute wildlife visits from a variety of birds and rabbits. I would 100% go again and recommend. Very clean and cosy.

Well placed for forays into Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds & the Norfolk countryside. Lovely long walk along country lane situated right outside the property to a local country pub. A great break
