The Hideaway really does live up to its name; this charming, romantic and pet-friendly holiday retreat rests just off the high street in Saxmundham, Suffolk.

Stylish and well-connected, with the train station on the doorstep and plenty of shops to explore in the delightful market town, this ground-floor apartment makes a fabulous base for couples or solo travellers.

Inside, an open-plan living space provides everything needed for a relaxed, self-catering break.

The bespoke kitchen is well-equipped with a cooker, fridge, freezer for cooking up home-cooked favourites, and as well as a handy washing machine.

From here, the intimate dining space offers a place to enjoy delicious dinners and plan adventurous days out, whilst the sofa and TV are set up for chilled evenings in.

Moving through the property, the king-size bedroom uses contemporary colours and quality furnishings, making a welcoming space to rest.

Finishing off the interior is the shower room, boasting a dual-head walk-in shower and a heated towel rail for toasty towels when stepping out.

Bird watchers will enjoy a visit to the woods and wetlands of RSPB Minsmere, whilst lovers of picture-perfect scenery can discover the Suffolk & Essex Coast & Heaths National Landscape.

For more hustle and bustle, the marina town of Ipswich is slightly further afield and is home to parks, a cinema, a museum and a good selection of eateries.

Saxmundham is a small market town located on the River Fromus, in the heart of Suffolk’s Heritage Coast. The town is well serviced with a Waitrose, Tesco, independent shops, local museum, and a train station, as well as art galleries, a weekly market and a farmers’ market. Situated so close to the coast, Saxmundham is a great base for a seaside holiday; within easy reach of Aldeburgh and Thorpeness, as well as Dunwich, Southwold and Walberswick, you could enjoy a different coastal location each day. Also close by is the inland market town Framlingham with beautiful historic architecture, a castle and an array of independent shops. South of the town there is the well known tourist destination of Sutton Hoo, an ancient Royal Anglo-Saxon burial site.
