  • "Lovely spacious property right by the sea -so close you can hear the waves crashing."

    It was magical. The Sofas - soft furnishings and beds are good quality and we found the house to be extremely comfortable - Whether sitting in the garden or inside around the large table. Plenty of space for the whole family and the hot tub was fantastic and was thoroughly enjoyed by all ages. Along with swims in the sea there were plenty of interesting historical sites a short drive away and our host was very responsive to our needs throughout .

  • "This is a lovely property, in a great location near the beach."

    Perfect for a party of 11 people for a family weekend. One small drawback was the lack of washing up detergent and no dishwasher tablets. Luckily we had brought some with us! Also, it took an age for the hot tub to heat up! Surprisingly, it was the first time in a Sykes property where the owner hadn't left a welcoming basket of tea bags, coffee, biscuits etc. However, we had a good time and would recommend this venue to others.

  • "A really great house in a brilliant location."

    Really nice to have sea views from the bedrooms on the front. The house is roomy and cosy and clean. Two rooms are en-suite and another has a sink so that helps a lot with everyone getting ready in the morning! The location is great not just for the beach but for being around the corner from the high street. The area is very peaceful with a good vibe. We enjoyed the beach on the doorstep, even though it’s pebbles it’s a nice beach and if the tide is out there is sand underfoot in the water. We took trips to Eastbourne, Pevensey Castle, Battle Abbey and Hastings which were all great. We all enjoyed the hot tub and having a shower room next to that as well was handy. The kids could play some games in the garden. Easy communication with owner. Thoroughly recommended and we would love to go back one day :)

  • "An interesting house near the beach."

    The hot tub was much enjoyed especially after a swim in the sea. The children liked playing in the surprisingly large garden. Would suggest buying plugs for the washbasins and possibly blinds for the bathroom doors. Interestingly, the en-suite for the top floor (with fabulous view) couldn't be locked from inside, only from the outside.

  • "We took our extended family on a trip to the Marine House and had a wonderful time."

    The house has so much space that 3 generations could get their own space and beds. The rooms are airy and light. There's a large fridge so we were able to make large meals. It's moments away from the beach and close to a few restaurants and a convenient store for essentials. The host was very welcoming and responded to messages quickly. The hot tub was also lovely and brought us a lot of joy. I'd happily recommend staying here if you get the chance or need the space!

  • "We had a great weekend visit."

    The weather wasn’t great but the Hot Tub saved the day with the grandchildren having the best time ever. The accomodation was spacious and decorated in a fun style with great wallpapers etc. We loved it. The property is a short walk from the beach which was great and the beach was shingle but clean. Slightly difficult for young and old to reach the sea as a steep incline due to coastal protection. The house was well equipped for our large party so several meals happily prepared and consumed. We hope to return one day.

  • "A large, spacious, comfortable well appointed house allowing 4 children and 6 adults plenty of room to enjoy their stay."

    The garden was a useful play area while the hot tub was much appreciated during the warm spell. The bedrooms were comfortable while the facilities were clean and well maintained. The property thankfully was only a minutes walk from the beach being a great perk during our hot weather stay.

  • "We went on a very cold and wet weekend at the end of January - the woodturner stove kept us warm and cosy."

    The location is excellent being just a two minute walk to the closest beach. The house is really spacious. We were a party of 6 adults and 5 children (ages 5 to 14) and there was plenty room for us all to do different things. The games room kept the children busy. We all enjoyed the hot tub but renters need to know, especiallyif you are just going for a short stay, that it takes about 10 hours to get hot. Bring your own towels for the beach and the hot tub. Some instructions on how to use the oven/microwave would be helpful. When we found the model name and number we had to look up the instructions on www.

    It is much appreciated you taking the time to give Marine House a review. We are always extremely pleased to hear that you enjoyed the spacious villa and all of its amenities. Just to let you know the instructions for the oven/microwave are located in one of the draws in the kitchen, if needed and in our literature, it invites you to bring extra towels for the hot tub, if you wish to do so.   • "A perfect getaway for two families with kids 12, 13, 15 & 16."

    Super close to local shops and across the car park from the local pub. The space was well laid out with plenty of room for everyone to gather together or off in separate groups. We found ourselves mostly around the fireplace playing games together for the week.

    Plenty of space. Great location close to sea. Good communication with owner. Very clean. Nice hot tub. Good local pub AquaBar. Great bakery for breakfast just round the corner. Would recommend.

  • "We had a family get together weekend here and everyone had a lovely time."

    The property is close to all amenities and we made the most of the beautiful garden. Our only disappointment was that the hot tub was cold so we had to wait til the following day before we could use it. We would definitely recommend this property

  • "We had an amazing stay location is great for kids beach literally on the door step, pub 2 mins away, various take aways close by."

    Marine house itself has absolutly everything you need very spacious and well presented. Kitchen and dining room big enough to cater for the whole family and there were 12 of us staying. Would definitley recommend and looking forward to our next visit.
