  • "Louise and James deserve every success with this holiday rental."

Not only because they are kind, generous and welcoming hosts themselves, but they are taking every step to ensure an excellent and straightforward stay for their guests. The house is spotless, well-decorated, and comfortably furnished. The bed and sofa are very comfortable, the towels and linens of good quality, the shower very good and the kitchen well-equipped. The cottage is well-located in a quiet spot but with quick access to all Saltaire has to offer and with good transport links should you wish to go further afield. We had an excellent break exploring nearby and visited Skipton, Cliffe Castle, Pontefract races and more.

Thank you so much for such a wonderful review. Your kind words genuinely mean a lot to us, especially as we’re new to hosting and have put so much love and care into our little cottage. It was an absolute pleasure to welcome you, and we’re delighted you enjoyed both the cottage and exploring Saltaire and the surrounding area. It sounds like you packed plenty into your stay! Thank you again for choosing to stay with us, and we really hope to welcome you back to Saltaire one day. Best Wishes Louise & James Property Owner

  • "We absolutely loved our stay at Saltaire House."

It was beautifully decorated and furnished to make the most of the available space, the bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in, the kitchen was well-equipped and the welcome pack and postcard were a thoughtful touch . Our host, Louise, met us on arrival and was friendly and helpful, providing information about the local festival taking place over our stay and was also super-efficient at sorting a problem that arose. Living, albeit for only a week, in a UNESCO world heritage site was an amazing experience - there is so much to see and do within a short walk of the property, plus a plethora of shops and restaurants within a pleasant stroll too, but we also went a little further afield, visiting Hebden Bridge, Skipton, East Riddlesden Hall and Cliffe Castle Museum. We would love to return!

Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It really means a lot to us. We’re delighted you enjoyed your stay, loved the cottage and had the chance to explore Saltaire and the surrounding area. It was a pleasure to meet you both. We’d absolutely love to welcome you back to Saltaire House again. You’d be very welcome! ❤️ Louise & James Property Owner

  • "What a beautiful house!"

It is spotlessly clean and welcoming, has all the amenities that you need, it is situated in a quiet street where you are a few minutes walk from restaurants, a wine bar, a bakery and Salt's Mill, and to top it all the hosts are lovely lovely people who are on hand to help with any questions you have. We were 3 adults and our daughter slept on the sofabed which was as comfy as any bed could be. We sat and drank tea and ate scones in the pretty patio. We explored beautiful Saltaire and had the most wonderful time. A first class short break away.

Thank you very much for your lovely feedback. We’re delighted you and your family had such a comfortable stay and enjoyed exploring Saltaire and the local spots. It was a pleasure to host you, and we hope to welcome you back for another visit soon. Property Owner

SALTAIRE

Baildon 2.3 miles; Bradford 3.9 miles; Keighley 7.2 miles.

Settled in the heart of West Yorkshire, a short distance away from the bustling market town of Shipley, rests the Victorian model village of Saltaire. Aptly named after its founder, Sir Titus Salt, a textile entrepreneur who made his fortune in the industry, and the River Aire in which Sir Salt built a textile mill nearby, the village was created with the purpose to relocate his business and employees. Decorated with spectacular Italianate architecture and boasting a rich history, Saltaire has since been recognised as a World Heritage Site, and is home to a collection of local amenities and attractions that welcome visitors, including a plethora of eateries, shopping opportunities and art galleries to name a few. Serviced by a train station, the nearby towns of Shipley and Baildon are both within easy reach, where guests can find a wider variety of amenities, or keep entertained with a round of golf or a scenic stroll along the Aire Sculpture Trail. The bustling city of Bradford rests slightly further afield, home to Bradford Industrial Museum, the National Science and Media Museum and the historic Alhambra Theatre, and if you time it right, you might even catch the magical water symphony at City Park Mirror Pool and Fountain. Saltaire makes an idyllic base from which to explore the delights of West Yorkshire.
