The barn is furnished at a very high standard, comfortable and homely and we think it has spoilt us when looking for other holiday accommodation. Location is excellent for Stourhead National Trust house and garden, Shaftsbury, Old Wardour Castle, Frome, Stonehenge, Salisbury and it is 48 mins from Bishops Castle in Wells. A lovely welcome from Amanda, a wealth of information provided as well as milk, biscuits, coffee. tea and chocolate drink. We can thoroughly recommend staying at the Cider Barn.

..a unique experience in beautiful unspoilt countryside surrounded by nature. House was immaculate with a vast field with hidden seated areas cleverly cut into the long grasses for idyllic morning coffee or evening drinks as the sun sets. House itself was really spacious for two and such good value for money. Family were all very friendly and helpful. Hope to go back one day if we travel that far south from Edinburgh again.

Stonehenge, Warminster, Devizes etc. Our hosts Amanda, Rick & their family were so helpful during our week visit, nothing was too much trouble, they were all very friendly with Amanda overstepping the mark & helping out with an issue we had our dog Bailey. The lighting in the converted barn had been well designed with plenty of lights to make the room nice and light or less lighting if you prefer more subtle light. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need including a dishwasher and washing machine. There was also a good sized freezer with 5 drawers should you need it. • "We left the property after a few hours due to allergic reactions to something within the property."

We have spent the rest of the week attempting to get in touch with Sykes Cottages Customer Service - to no avail - to inform them of the situation. Attempted to email details between ourselves and property owner to Sykes, again with no success. We will not be returning to use Sykes Cottages site in the future.

Thank you for your feedback and we are sorry to hear that you left in the early hours due an allergic reaction. Our phone lines are open every day and we also have an 'out of hours line' for urgent issues, on which you could have called us. We accept our phone lines can get busy on some days but customers do generally get through. We also have a web chat service or customers can contact us via email. To date, we have not received any contact from you. Property Owner

A few nice touches have made improvements and so it's even more delightful, cosy, warm and characterful.. it's a superb bolt hole in a pleasant and secluded part of rural Wiltshire. The new owners are charming and friendly. We appreciated not paying extra for the dog (loved the complementary bed and biscuits for her!) and also the discount by Sykes. Suggested improvements.. either add a normal DVD and controller or give oldies like us a training course in how to use the Xbox system to play one! Also suggest connecting the smart TV to the internet so you can get streaming services etc. ? Otherwise it's fab! We'll be back!
