The property

Kiloran is a welcoming pet-friendly house in the seaside village of Rhosneigr on the Isle of Anglesey.

Well-suited to families and friends looking to enjoy time by the coast, boasting a woodburning stove and is within easy reach of the beach and local amenities.

Arrive in Rhosneigr and slip down a private lane just off the Main Street, where Kiloran sits neatly tucked away for a seaside stay.

Park up in the dedicated space for 1 small car, then take a moment to breathe in the salt air as you unload beach bags, coats and leads, already within easy reach of village life and the shoreline.

Step inside and you are welcomed straight into the open-plan living space, where wooden flooring sets a delightful tone.

Ahead, the kitchen brings a clean, fresh look with white fixtures and a contemporary feel.

Pop the kettle on while you unpack supplies, chill drinks in the fridge, and let the induction hob do the heavy lifting as you start supper.

There is a natural rhythm here for self-catering, from crisp toast in the morning to simple dinners after the beach, with the dishwasher ready to take care of the clear up so evenings stay unhurried.

The dining area sits close by, ideal for lingering over a late breakfast, laying out a picnic for the sand, or gathering everyone together after a day outdoors.

From here, the sitting area draws you in with a welcoming layout and the glow of the woodburning stove.

Stretch out on the L-shaped sofa, light the fire when the evening arrives, then settle in with a film on the Smart TV or bring out a board game as the room warms and conversation drifts on.

Off the kitchen, you will find the ground-floor bunk bedroom, a handy option for children or extra guests.

This room also benefits from its own WC, useful for added convenience during busy mornings and bedtime routines.

When it is time to turn in, head up carpeted stairs to the first floor, where the remaining bedrooms and shower room are set out for simple, relaxing nights.

The double bedroom is carpeted, giving it a soft feel underfoot as you unpack and unwind, while the twin room offers a practical space for friends sharing or younger guests.

The shower room is finished with tiled flooring and features a walk-in shower and heated towel rail, perfect for warming towels after rinsing away sand and sea spray.

Back downstairs, open the patio doors and step outside to the small terrace area, a useful spot for a breath of fresh air at the start of the day or a relaxed moment after a long walk.

It is also a handy place to pause with a drink while your dog potters nearby.

For days close to home, you are well placed for easy outings.

The shop and pub are a short stroll away, ideal for picking up essentials or calling in for a casual meal, while the beach is within an easy walk when the sea calls you out for sand between your toes, paddleboarding, kite flying or a sunset wander along the shore.

Head to South Stack and let the scenery take over as you follow cliffside paths with sea birds wheeling overhead, pause at viewpoints where the coastline falls away dramatically, then take in the lighthouse setting as waves crash below and the horizon stretches wide.

Spend another day in Beaumaris, where you can step into the story of Beaumaris Castle as you wander its mighty walls and gatehouse, stroll the waterfront with boats bobbing in the tide, then slow the pace with a stop for an ice cream or a café lunch as you watch the world go by along the Menai Strait.

For a change of scene, make time for Plas Newydd, where grand rooms and artwork set an elegant backdrop, gardens invite a gentle wander with sweeping views across the water, and woodland paths offer a refreshing walk before you settle into a calm moment with a drink from the café.

Choose Kiloran for a relaxed coastal stay close to sand, surf and village charm.

Note: This property has a Good Housekeeping bond of £250.

The popular seaside village of Rhosneigr is situated on the beautiful west coast of Anglesey, famous for its spectacular cliffs and magnificent sandy beaches. The village has a varied history, including a 6th-century church, tales of smugglers, famous off-shore shipwrecks, and from the Edwardian era, it has been a fashionable holiday destination. Today, it is known for its magnificent beaches and renowned watersports, providing some of the best windsurfing and kitesurfing in the UK, with tuition available in the village. Activities include fishing, sailing, sand yachting, wreck diving, golf, and hours of family fun on the enormous sandy beaches. There are several pubs, restaurants, and shops in the village, with the market towns of Llangefni and Holyhead (starting point for day trips to Dublin), and the city of Bangor within easy travelling distance. Rhosneigr is located near RAF Valley, famed for Prince William's Air Sea Rescue training base.
