  • "Wonderful stay at Pear Tree Cottage, great space for two families to stay comfortably."

The living area is a lovely communal space, having the option of the other lounge. WiFi boosters would be useful, works great downstairs but not so good upstairs. Appreciate it is an old cottage with well insulated walls. The location of the cottage makes it easy to visit York. We traveled in on the bus, (bus stop in the village) saved on parking and stress. Helmsley has a great outdoor swimming pool, which the children loved. The Yorkshire weather was very kind to us! Thank you Anna.

  • "Super cottage, spacious and ideal for our family, lovely to have three bathrooms between us all, convivial living spaces and comfortable bedrooms."

Lovely village and great to have really good village shop so close, very friendly and also a fantastic pub, food was superb. Some lovely local walks and easy to get to York/Harrogate/Dales/Wolds. Highly recommended. Only downside was the lack of cooking utensils/oven dishes/saucepans (but we are a family that likes to cook) Also cleanliness of fridge, oven and various kitchen items was not good, I had to clean before use. Living room could do with a proper clean around sofa.

Thank you for your positive feedback about my lovely cottage. I am glad you enjoyed your holiday. Your feedback was very helpful feedback. I have passed it on to the cleaning company and I am sorry the cleanliness was not up to standard. The cleaning company have agreed to act upon your concerns. I have also arranged additional oven dishes. Best wishes, Anna (the owner) Property Owner
